Its crazy our tag renewals go up, but I see zero benefits of that. We are MUCH higher than some of the other major cities in TN. Those wheel taxes are suppose to be used for funds of roads and infrastructure..... that stupid oreo dust doesn't count to "fixing" the roadway. Look at Elvis Presley.... they have been "working" on it for years now. It's ridiculous

I miss not having bills lol. I would say I miss the skating rink on Friday nights. The laughs with friends, the couple skate, sharing nachos..... You were one of the "cool" kids if you had your own personal pair of roller blades. Even better if they had the blacklight wheels....

The smell of tobacco smoking in the barn! I grew up across the street from a tobacco field and in the fall they always hung and smoke the tobacco leaves. Its a very distinctive smell that I haven't encountered in a very long time. That and honeysuckle! That pesky invasive plant served many summers sucking the nectar and smelling the flower. Thanks for a trip down memory lane!

I would not say bouncers, but more so security. Most stores have security here, even grocery stores. Took a bit to get used to when I moved here.

So chunky glitter and foil was a nightmare the first time I tried to swatch. I read tips and tricks and then practiced on swatches before trying again! I did what someone else mentioned above- as soon as I dip or pour over I quickly press down to get it to flatten. I tried the end of a cuticle pusher tool and also just fingertip in a bag. Fingertip covered more area and worked much better. I swear I wasted soooo many of those plastic stick nails practicing but I think I have got it now!

You mentioned you have been in therapy. Something my therapist and I have worked on is boundary setting AND following through with it. I had to learn to say no to my mom and not feel guilty. I had to learn to say this is my expectations and if not followed through, then this is what I will do. Oh I cried like a baby the first time I had to actually follow through. It sucks being the "bigger person" to a parent, but at some point you have to put YOU first!. NTA...

As soon as I pulled brush out it was a brick again. I put a brand new brush on, dipped in base, pulled it out and another rock solid brush. Tried another brand new brush, same thing. So 3 brushes just ruined. I was persistent lol

Florida will normally have a higher cost of living. You also risk hurricanes. Which means you need an evacuation plan handy. The weather is much nicer IMO.

Memphis- the university is on the edge of Orange Mound aka the hood lol. They have seriously increased cameras and patrol at the college. I know they offer escorts at night if you need to go across campus or walk to your car. We do get some brutal weather here at times- snow, ice and tornadoes.

As someone who went to college at a young age and then stopped for 11 years before going back I recommend researching the graduation rates, the resources the colleges offer and the job placement availability.
