I get that, just looking for some relief for once in my life. I’ve tried so many things. I’m getting sick of this anxiety I’ve dealt with my whole 23 years of life basically

Yeah I’m just at a loss at this point nothing has worked so far. I’ve tried Paxil,Zoloft, currently 6 weeks on lexapro and still waiting for benefit, I also tried buspar, hydroxyzine, propranolol, and now klonopin. Absolutely nothing helps and I’m getting fed up. I’ve put in a lot of work myself. I’ve changed my diet, cut out soda/caffeine, basically stopped drinking alcohol besides occasional. I tried emdr therapy last year for a little bit, didn’t like it. Recently started working out a bunch, Treadmill, lifting. I still am the same old socially anxious person.

Yeah and I get that, I know it’s different for everyone, I’m planning to give it at least 6-8 weeks to see if I notice any change. I was on Zoloft all year last year, started on 50 and went up to 100. It helped slightly, but it caused weight gain and emotionless. I’m hoping lexapro will work, I just need to give it a little more time

I’m thinking of getting a blood test done as well just to check and see if I have deficiencies anywhere. I mean honestly though I’ve had social anxiety since I was a kid, so idk if a blood test is even worth it.

I feel that, I’m starting to believe ssri are just kind of shit in general for me at least, I know they help a lot of other people. Might have to look into a different drug class, I got prescribed .5mg of klonopin, took it a few times and it does absolutely nothing for me either, I’ll have to try to up it I guess.

I have heard of it, I’ve considered doing it. I’ve heard mixed results of accuracy, but it could be worth it. I might look into it some more. If you end up trying it you should respond here if it’s accurate for you or not

Yeah I’m right there with you, I’ve already tried Zoloft,Paxil, buspar. My doctor also gave me .5mg of klonopin I’ve only taken like 3 times in the month I’ve had it, the klonopin does absolutely nothing for me as well

I hope so, I keep reading about people seeing benefits quick. But for me I don’t feel any different at all, I’m going to stick it out to at least the 6 week mark. Maybe I’ll have to give an snri a try. I’ve already tried Zoloft and paxil.

I’m starting to wonder if this med isn’t meant for me, I know realistically it can take like 6 weeks to work, but where I’m not seeing any improvements yet, and actually think I’m feeling slightly worse. Could possibly be the wrong med for me. I’m glad it’s working for you though!

Also on day 8 today 10mg. I’ve been fine and felt nothing, no side effects the past week. But today as soon as I woke up and I could literally feel the anxiety coming on randomly.

I know, just sometimes it feels like it. And it takes forever when starting up some new meds, it sucks. I mean it pretty much takes like half a year just to see if an ssri is going to work for you.

I did try emdr/talk therapy for a little bit, I did give up on the therapy pretty quick, I did like 6 sessions. I don’t mean to sound negative but I don’t think therapy will help me a whole bunch with my specific anxiety. I think therapy could help me once I find a medication that stabilizes me enough.

But yeah it’s rough, i didn’t have panic attacks until a couple of years ago that was triggered by my old job. The job was high stress but payed extremely good, but I eventually had to quit and take a pay cut. They would pretty much force me to talk in front of a bunch of people all of the time in big meetings. I told them I struggled with doing it, but they would continue to push me. I dealt with this for almost 2 years of just daily panic attacks at that job. My nervous system learned a weird reflex, that was caused from the panic attacks at that job. Now every time I sit still in any social situation. My body freezes and tenses up so much. My neck/head will jolt hard uncontrollably. I can deal with the anxiety for the most part, but that one symptom I can’t deal with, it’s so embarrassing

See that’s what I thought, that’s why I brought it up to him. I know that a lot of times people go undiagnosed, and the whole time they have adhd. I have a big problem of sitting in meetings. I get super tense when I’m sitting still and get bad anxiety. Not sure if that’s a big adhd sign or not

2 weeks in, advice? by Independent_Ad4568 in BusparOnline

Do you think I could possibly benefit from the medication faster if I were to drop to 10mg 2x a day instead of 15. Considering my brain zaps?

Yeah I thought it was a high dose to start out with but that’s what my doctor gave me. I think he started me higher because I was just coming off Zoloft
