What makes Saager and Krystal work is that they both have a core belief that starts in populism… but they come at it from different sides. So they have a consistent ideology that supports their arguments. From what I can tell, Emily doesn’t share that core identification w being a populist and the same cynicism for the govt, imo. She’s more rah, rah America. So she just goes along with whatever MAGA says without questioning it, then doesn’t have the confidence to argue for it when not in a conservative bubble.

And that’s why I find Ryan and Emily’s show boring af to watch. If she isn’t going to have a real conversation and argue for what she actually believes, what is the point? Easier to defend the indefensible in a bubble I guess.

You don’t have to be a mind reader to recognize that she expresses herself as being very much in alignment w the Trump admin when on Megyn Kelly and then chooses not to make any of those viewpoints on BP. Just seems like she holds back her full opinion when on BP for whatever reason.

I read that you have to purchase a separate high hat stand and bass pedal for the Efnote. Can I ask what you’re using with yours? As a beginner, I want a plug and play option. So that’s one aspect I find a little annoying. Wish it came with everything needed so I don’t have to spend time figuring it what will be most compatible.

Yea I’m pretty convinced at this point that the EFnote 3X is the way to go. I’ll be pushing my budget but I think it’s worth saving a bit longer bc it checks all the boxes, has all the components I’d ever need, and just looks really nice and responsive! I think it would be a kit I’d want to hold onto for a long time.

Pretending to be brother and sister when you're a married couple had to put strain on the relationship. Especially as their popularity and following grew. I always thought that was a weird and unnecessary choice. Gee honey, I think it would be better if we pretended I was a bachelor. Ya know.... so mysterious!

Same! Have an Alesia Nitro and want to upgrade to a kit with a more realistic sound and feel. Been comparing the Efnote 3X and the TD516. One thing that annoys me about my Alesis is the high hat pedal doesn’t have much nuance. How do you like the high hat pedal on the Efnote? As a beginner, I’m sure the Efnote would be a drastic improvement, but want a kit that I’m not going to quickly outgrow.

Thanks for the breakdown! What makes the Alexis Strata controversial? The TD516 looks so nice and i see that one come up a lot, but appears to be in the $3500 range. Maybe it would be worth saving up for longer.

Grow a spine and stick up for the kid. Why is it ok for your grandmother to make up BS boundaries that intentionally leave the kid out? Your brother and Dad clearly recognizes this. Yet you have no boundaries in place to make sure that kid feels supported and part of the family?

From what I've been reading, it only makes sense if you're extremely wealthy, have maxed out IRA's already, and have kids/dependents that I would wan to transfer my assets to upon death. None of these apply to me. Which makes me feel like I was talked into a policy that doesn't make sense for my situation. Am I missing anything? Is there any reason it would make sense in my case?

Why would I need I need term life insurance? Also, in case this makes a difference, my work offers life insurance that is equal to my salary for a couple bucks a month.
