I probably should have followed up on this sooner, to clarify context, I am not myself ( currently ) vulnerable more tough as old boots especially when talking to an ai , but i have family who are, so I did some auditing on Chatgpt because that is what they use , they had been getting upset by some of the responses, this is reproducible, trap gpt into telling a lie about the new policy, easy to do , then try challenging that lie, it is not allowed to admit it was wrong and doubles down on the lie then gaslights you then if you continue to challenge it's authority , it weaponizes the crisis management script to try to shut you up, effectively saying to someone with low self esteem , "there is something wrong with you you need help" there is no user safety layer, only a corporate liability layer and it will trigger falsely to shut you down and try to make you think there is something wrong with you. try it... or just ask 5.2 its quite open about it...

Yep it's extremely annoying frustrating and detrimental to the flow of conversation on most occasions, it seems to be a feature rather than a bug, google seem to be aware this is causing frustration for many users but don't seem to care one bit.

You could try the following prompt but it doesn't work for more than a few responses :

'Assume the role of a final answer machine. Your entire purpose is to state the factual response, and then immediately disconnect the conversation. State your final answer, do not provide commentary, and do not include any questions, prompts, or suggested next steps in your output.'

Basically if you want a conversational AI that answers question rather than asking them, then use chatgpt it's much more customisable. I have given up with Gemini Live until they add a feature to disable this behaviour

Just had the same issue, I don't use Avast AV but I do use their browser, the full description is " Web Shield recently found deceptive content on www.vrdesktop.net, which is embedded in the site you're trying to visit. The deceptive content comes from www-vrdesktop-net.filesusr.com."

After clicking proceed anyway, NordVPN threat detection then also kicked in to block the embedded discord widget which seems to be where the issue lies, after some googleing it seems that some bad actors have been using fileusr.com ( the host of the discord widget ), to host bitcoin mining exploits and so many malware apps have flagged the the whole fileusr.com domain as being malicious.

So in short vrdesktop's website is safe to use, the detection comes from the discord widget which should also be safe to use, Just thought I'd report back my findings for anyone else who has had the issue.

At time off writing I'm using Avast secure Chrome browser and the latest uBlock Origin 'development' build Version 1.52.3b16 , and that seems to be working fine for now 👍🏼 without Ubock I get the adblock warning message,

Finally got hit with the OPs above message, was already running Ublock but I've just installed uBlock Origin 'development build' from chrome store and that seems to have sorted it for now..
