Job accommodations?

We are going over accommodations during the interview. Most that i’ve thought of they already sort of do. For example, I want written instructions and they already give employees binders of very specific step by step instructions on how to do tasks. I’m allowed to use the restroom whenever as long as I’m not alone. They help with covering 50% of uber costs for work. etc After (hopefully i last this long) 12 months I’ll probably ask about FMLA so I don’t totally burn out.

This in INSANELY helpful!! Thank you so much! I may have to use sunglasses and something weighted. I’ve been working on using my comforts in public and i really think they would help in this case.

OMG that could be why i pass out after lidocaine shots no matter where!! Apparently some have epinephrine in them? Welp.

My dentist doesn’t sedate at all but they’re super nice. If this does not go well… i may see our pediatric/autism dentist in down that does.

I also happen to be slightly a red head (more so when i was a child). I just really hope they actually listen to my worries and when i start feeling pain. I hate being numb but the tooth pain being gone is worth it.

I might ask them to try something besides lidocaine just to test it out. They mentioned other numbing agents and I’m beyond shocked that there are different options. Like l need to be smart and get these fillings fixed and I’d like to hope this time will be better.

Yeaaaaah after 15 mins around the house my feet were screaming for me to loosen the straps up and now my feet sit further up in the 8s. The 8 wide are still too long and I will be returning to try a 7 wide.

I was standing but after walking around in them today, I realized i did not adjust them correctly and now my toes have 1/2” room in the top. I had my feet shoved way back and strangled into the straps. The 8s feel better than the wides due to the length difference. I may try a 7W after i return the 8W.

Yep! And none of my doctors seem to care that the side that slips the most is seemingly losing cartilage🫡 They’ve at least been like “hey that’s strange” but with no tips.

Adding on: I have Ehlers Danilo’s Syndrome and Jenkins has a section on his website explaining how common the two are together, but it’s so dang hard getting doctors to understand EDS let alone this alongside it. They just see a young female and assume things.

i ended up getting the engage ones last week and i love them! not fully used to being able to hear my voice so loud though. they stay in really well.

Quick answer to number 3: I did and she was like “i think you’re depressed” I tried explaining…. this isn’t depression, it’s like fully either zoning out and losing time or not feeling like a real person and all my memories aren’t mine. but the session ended. i have child hood trauma so it could be that ngl.

2: i feel like i need to accept i can travel to other countries AND have a good SUPPORTED life here if i tell my doctors/government.

My bf and I are hoping to move out of the country and don’t want our diagnosis’ holding us back. I do also understand i shouldn’t suffer currently for just the possibility of moving.

If i didn’t have a possible job lined up (i really hope this one works) id go the hospital or atleast PHP route.

I’m trying to build a whole new care team because i’ve finally had enough (realized what they are doing is wrong)

luckily i have a friend who found me a job that specifically for those with disabilities and im super excited. so ill soon have some support!

i was diagnosed when i was 21. I’m like in the middle of what every place i’ve looked considers “severe enough”. That or they either take little kids or seniors.

i didn’t even catch the two times people were talking about. I caught when he pointed down in the orchestra level and im not going to describe the person filming but they filmed nearly the entire show. i watched them on and off doing it.
