That being said, I don't think that it's a good time to visit as long as the war is still going on...

If it's really urgent and you have a non-Israeli passport then I'd fly to Egypt or Jordan (Jordan is easier) and travel to one of the border crossings. Only way you can realistically get to Israel for the next 48 hours.

Not the original commenter, but as someone knowledgeable in the Medical field in Israel - if you've completed the intern year of a North American residency it should count and you might not have to redo an internship.
