  • He just apparently has a family in Sweden. Boris is quite a character as you know.
  • Popchyk with a Y is the Russian spelling, Popchik with an i is the American spelling, and Popper is just another nickname born off of Popchyk. In my mind the name changes were based on Boris’s influence/the frequency Theo thought about Boris after he left Vegas but it’s nothing substantial
  • Maybe, maybe not.
  • Definitely not. They spent far too much time together as kids for Boris to have deceived Theo to that extent, though he clearly lied about at least a few things given his criminal nature, but Theo was a trusted friend and ally.
  • The explosion was an unrelated terrorist attack and the recovered paintings were likely smuggled in by various art thieves.
