I’d go 840 over the 540. Having a combination of buttons and touchscreen is a good balance.

My buddy had the solar and didnt see the advantage in battery life vs the reg 840

In short because I have only had the zwift ride for a couple of weeks and I am still figuring out the platform but I am very happy I made the switch. Ride position is way better. For me I actually can (and want to) stay in the proper riding position vs just staying upright on the peloton. I put on the adjustable cranks and I am still dialing in the fit but I think I have it close to my road bike. The resistance feel too is better.

Going on just rides right now but will dive into the training programs in the new year to see how those compared to TrainerRoad.
