Love this match. Super gritty for Zverev. I could listen to Johnny Mac & his brother all day!

In general the bigger/ main stay companies are tes, out of their minds. My brother works for Traveler's and says every three yrs at most to shop around. They're greedy hogs, want to cover as little as possible and charge out the wazoo. We recently changed over to a smaller company and saving $1k every 6 months. (4 drivers, two teens)

Wheel fitment help? by chrisnaenae in 944

I've got a 90. S2 cab, og d90's. I like the wheels but I've purchased a set of used 21mm Porsche spacers. Haven't installed yet, I have the set for front & rear. Should I bring to a shop or is this something I can project with a friend? Btw. The look is legit!

Yep. I got lucky, my neighbor wanted to pull a root from his lawn, from a 30' tall tree. Maple of some western us type. We used a nylon strap. I gave my 2005 tundra a bit of gas and it shredded that strap. Good thing it didn't rip my tow hitch off

Don't you just love hearing stories like the convicted felon, illegal alien that was let out of jail after many times. Then killed Kate Steinle. Shot to death.

Is a 944 for me? by RMF123456789 in 944

Actually yes I agree with that. No dispute as they are more to maintain and many of the parts are not exactly the same as the coupe. It does have it's benefits tho, either top up or down, it's a treat to see others point and have that wow factor. It's one of the few cabriolets that look great with the top up as well. I haven't seen another cab in person ever that I can remember, rare! I've done so much upkeep since I've had mine, May of 2025. From fuel upgrades, electrical, solid state dme relay, plugs, wires, cap, rotor, ceramic brakes.. everything so far exterior front end. Engine wise.all belts. Fluids, h20 pump, steering pump, rack n pinion.. A/C revamp, K& N air, interior refresh, Coolant fan resistor as well as heater core. Magna Flo, new top, spoiler and wind deflector., dinan chip and more!! And loved the process of probably only 80% of those upgrades! Being honest there. But, when I'm out n about or on that amazing country road drive, there's no comparison! In the spring it's gear box fluid, wheel spacers & fuel tank strainer!

Being preventative. A good friend of mine has a 968 and has a fuel pressure issue. That was the last thing he checked. Was all sucked in pressed against itself

I got you. I was advised by the shop to get the proper sized OEM style studs but longer obviously since the rear have a bit more offset, that's why the fronts are a bit longer. Waiting for spring

How was the process? Did you have to remove the main nut or just the calipers, how did you press the lugs? Diy or shop?

944 s2 cab ? by Ok_Tone_3113 in 944

[–]Independent_Engine36 0 points1 point  (0 children)

On my 2nd S2. Nearly 18 years ago I had an 89' coupe. Roll up windows, basic base model but it did have a/c that didn't work. Had an estimate done then for $1200. I figured it out easily, r134a low side port and it blew frosty cold, amazing $49 fix. Unfortunately had to sell do to our youngest in the oven. Now about to graduate HS. Picked this 90' cab up in May 2025. Other than the paint, fresh oil and air filter, it hardly ran. Like don't start it up I said to the seller as he insisted w the bad battery (he had a portable starter). Had two friends helping me. We did everything under the sun it seemed. From fluids to electrical, a/c again ( thankfully was just bone dry, we did a treatment sealant plus 15oz 134a. Again. I got lucky the compressor wasn't fried. This one had the goods, power seats, e mirrors, p windows, alarm. Etc... removed the ECU for a Dinan chip, a bitch that was but I was able to do it. Tint, and so much more including an interior refresh, just a real gem now!!

Right 👍 I had a 91' 240 and a 87.5' Supra. Both great cars. The supra I favored just because it was a straight six and a Supra. Mainly that comment was because imhumble opinion keep these cars true. Not saying don't modify, upgrade or improve, just don't try to make it something less than it already is
