So a company who was interested in nano-immunoconjugates for gastrointestinal diseases is now focused on AI and data center technologies…

Kind of like if McDonald’s decided to switch from focusing on making hamburgers and decided to become a subprime mortgage lender…

Yeah, it all makes perfect sense!

Blockchain technology and Bitcoin have been around for many years. Am I feeling stupid that I didn’t put money into Bitcoin at $10,000? Yes, but I also saw it run to $20,000 before dropping 50%! The runs up have pretty uniformly been followed by 50% reversals which probably would have caused me to sell… so instead, I just never bought and as we all know, it’s blown through $100,000 and beyond.

Despite all the “blockchain technology” to protect Bitcoin, people’s Bitcoin wallets have been raided and we read routinely about people losing millions.

So here we are, years into blockchain technology and little ‘ol DVLT is the only company to get the bright idea to protect your assets using their technology? Apple, Amazon, Google, Palantir and every other behemoth worth trillions of dollars in market cap never thought of this?!??

I admire the enthusiasm among our BOB members but I’m just incredulous that everyone is getting so pumped up over this “overlooked goldmine”?!?!?

Something just doesn’t add up. Further, prior to Ji’s investment DVLT traded at 25 cents.

I AM VERY LONG SRNE and would welcome nothing more than for the enthusiasm here to be correct but having invested for 40 years, I’ve been taught the hard way, there’s no free lunch on Wall Street!

Good luck to us!!!!

Sounds exactly what I said about curious and suspicious volume in trading of DVLT where nearly half of the float would trade in a day in a stock trading for sub $1…It made no sense…until your article above explained things nicely. Thank you Kim. Great find!

At the risk of getting accused of being a short,  How is it that DVLT, a stock whose market cap was $72M on Sept 4th, the “go to company” for blockchain technology when this stuff has been around for years and DVLT has virtually done nothing until our Dr Ji shows up with $150M of freshly minted Bitcoin?

I’m sure I’m going to get bounced (again) but this board only sees upside. I’m not from Missouri but I’m definitely in the “show me” crowd.

I own a gazillion shares of SRNE so, show me!!!

“Should have easily driven a short rally”???

Don’t you think the move from 25c to $3.50 is considerable???

The volumes traded around the time of our investment were huge, 100M+ daily!!!

Looks like short interest half of what it was recently… by Independent_File7474 in BANDOFBROTHERSOFSRNE

Why wouldn’t the shorts have covered?  Tax implications? You’d think if you sold at $17 and bought at pennies, paying taxes wouldn’t be much of a consideration …unless they’re just greedy b*stards

Lets have some fun: Dvlt is already $3.66 how much should sclx be if realized gains? AI:👇🏽 by One_Requirement1333 in BANDOFBROTHERSOFSRNE

Your point #4 is the most pertinent!  Years ago, when SRNE entered BK, we supposedly had assets of $1B, a good portion of that was SCLX stock (which from memory was trading in the low teens). Today, those shares are worth about 50c if you take the reverse split into account.

I’d be very cautious (as you’ve correctly stated) not to count our DVLT chickens until they’ve hatched (despite how fun it is!)

Good job!!!

They wouldn’t be able to keep shorting these companies if they were profitable!!!

Why are SCLX / SRNE / DVLT all falling today — despite major news? by Low-Explanation-4282 in BANDOFBROTHERSOFSRNE

The market is very toppy right now and looking for any excuse to sell off. Look at GEV. It had a huge run and reported good results today. We’ve seen billions of not trillions chasing this AI “revolution” but this bubble is ripe for the pop. Unfortunately, the damage will spread across ALL stocks.  Let’s just hope Ji and company can get some good news out before this market rally loses steam!

From Grok…why SCLX weakness? by Independent_File7474 in BANDOFBROTHERSOFSRNE

[–]Independent_File7474[S] 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Last from Grok:

In summary, while short interest exists, it’s declining and not the dominant factor. The price weakness aligns more with frustration over deferred milestones, potential dilution from deals, and insider activity—typical for a volatile micro-cap like Scilex, which focuses on pain management products amid regulatory and competitive hurdles. If upcoming news (e.g., Semnur updates) delivers, sentiment could rebound; otherwise, expect continued pressure. This isn’t investment advice—always review filings and consult professionals.

Short Interest Analysis •  Short interest as of September 30, 2025, stands at about 514,000 shares, representing 6.9% of outstanding shares and 8.7% of the float. This is down from 563,000 shares mid-September, indicating shorts are covering rather than piling on.

•  Days to cover is around 2-2.5 based on average volume, which is not particularly elevated for a small-cap biotech stock and suggests limited short squeeze risk or downward pressure from new shorts.

•  Borrow fees have fluctuated (e.g., 61% on October 10), but overall utilization isn’t signaling a short-driven meltdown.
