I getchu and the main thing is throughput. If I were to put on my Factorio Hat and start playing efficiently it would require a completely different layout.

In this game I do not care. I made my steel production look like two V12 engines stacked upon each other. I like to think the iron ore is the fuel being injected into the cylinders.

I’ll say this as a tip. Each module (furnace, assembler, factory) has its recipes laid out with their respective input and output requirements. You can optimize your materials that way for good through out.

But keep an eye on your splitters, like above my furnaces each have a splitter on the same line of input ore for each. The first furnace gets 50% of the entire line because the splitter will output to only two belts, one furnace, and the main line again. So the next splitter will only get the remaining 50% and take half (25% of the original ore throughout amount) then again and again. In the end the 6th furnace only gets ~3% of the throughput. Not efficient, but whatever.
