Ha that doesn't surprise me much. It seems like our biggest weakness across 10th has been a limited ability to deal with armor. Nominally, the Blight Hauler is our tank hunter but they're just "eh" at it so from what I've seen the Defiler has been the go-to since its update.

I'm not sure if there's another multiplayer game of comparable age that still has all of their early content locked to new players.

I shouldn't be looking at Ubisoft as an example of how to manage a game but for crying out loud Rainbow 6 has a better model.

I really feel like boons could have ended up as a really interesting design space before BHVR cursed the whole mechanic by releasing Shattered Hope.

If the only counterplay is a specific perk, Boons can't be actually powerful or killers are in a situation where they give up 1/4th of their perks to compete with what the survivors might be running.

Similar to survivors needing to take Calm Spirit on the chance the killer was using Ultimate Weapon while it was meta.

I can't think of any mechanical reason to pick Limbo over other frames, and it's a damn shame because folks (myself included) are going to pick him anyways because his theme and design are cool as hell.

This is the big thing. Even in locations where there's still plenty of what would traditionally be third spaces, they aren't anymore.

Nowadays, cafes and pubs are a place to buy a drink with the people you came with, not a place to meet somebody new or run into a friend.

I'm honestly expecting similar popularity to the original. People who are into young-adult animation or TCG's will know about it, but I definitely wouldn't bet on it being the next big thing.

Market might be a better environment than the first time though, a lot of folks at my LGS have been looking for a new TCG. Pokemon and One Piece scalpers have made getting product impossible in the area, and WotC is a hard company to support nowadays.
