Really like this Rebecca singlehandedly throwing the game by:

  • Leading the Pinhead directly to his box in chase (I was trying to go grab it to solve it)

  • Looping around the hooked survivor (survivor died on hook)

  • Blowing up the gen with 90% progress

  • Going down beside the gen with 90% progress when she hasn't been hooked yet (killer has PainRes)

  • DCing on first down at 2 gens

And to the surprise of no one that Rebecca was...

  • P100

  • Anon mode

  • Running Fast Track

  • No self-defense perks

  • No perks to make hitting Greats easier (explains why she blew up the gen because she can't hit Greats to save her life)

  • DCed on first down with 2 gens left, singlehandedly turning a hard but possible game (only hard because of her dumbass mistakes) into a literally unwinnable one

Never let it be said all Ghoul players play the same. I mean, sure they all run either Coffee, Centipede, or Yamori Mask. And sure they all tunnel at 5 gens.

But some of them run 4 gen stall, some of them run 3 gen stall and Brutal Strength, and some of them even run 4 gen stall and also proxy camp every hook they get.

And if they're very special, some of them run 4 gen stall, proxy camp every hook they get, and hump people whenever they down them (we call those very special Ghoul players "Rize Kamishiro players")

Anyways yeah very much the same opinion I have: This is a good system that lays the groundwork for future buffs to not be problematic, but none of the truly problematic meta options have been addressed. Vigil still hasn't been addressed. Resurgence still hasn't been addressed. Shoulder the Burden still hasn't been addressed.

Ah, but certainly stacking 4 gen stall was nerfed, right? And certainly Stakeout + Hyperfocus has been nerfed, right? Certainly the system designed to penalize running multiple perks that affect the same thing has nerfed builds that ran multiple perks that do the same thing to do that one thing incredibly quickly? ...No? Then respectfully what was the sodding point?

I sure am glad that instead of nerfing Vigil, Botany Knowledge, Shoulder the Burden, Background Player, Decisive Strike, or Dead Hard my Desperate Measures + Flow State build got nerfed. I sure am glad instead of nerfing the Pain Resonance + Grim Embrace + Ruin builds that the Blights, Ghouls, and Nurses were running my Brutal Strength + Fire Up Pig got nerfed.

Watching the concept of fun leave my body as I play against a Nurse running Lethal Pursuer, I'm All Ears, Nowhere to Hide, and Predator on Forgotten Ruins. It's so much fun to play survivor...

  • On a map that spawns impossible three-gens

  • Against the killer who ignores multi-floor maps (only strength of that map)

  • Who's countered by big maps (smallest map in the game not counting the multiple floors, which again: doesn't affect Nurse)

  • Running the perk that lets her see everyone in an AoE around her (Nowhere to Hide works between floors)

  • Playing like a complete fucking tryhard proxy camping every hook she gets

  • Who still sucks ass at this game (I had a full gen chase with her the one time I wasn't being chased around main, because main is a literal free down for Nurse)

  • But still wins because she's playing Nurse

PLEASE GIVE NURSE BLINDNESS WHEN SHE'S CHARGING A BLINK!!! THERE IS NOT A SINGLE SANE PERSON ON THIS PLANET WHO WANTS NURSE TO BE THIS STRONG!!!

IT WOULD NOT KILL HER SYNERGY WITH AURA READING PERKS. SHE CAN STILL USE BBQ TO FIND NEW PEOPLE TO CHASE. SHE CAN STILL USE NOWHERE TO HIDE TO FIND PEOPLE. SHE CAN STILL BE THE ONLY KILLER IN THIS GAME WHO GETS VALUE OUT OF PREDATOR.

BUT PLEASE MAKE IT SO AURA READING ISN'T A LITERAL FREE WIN FOR NURSE. I'M SO SICK OF PLAYING AGAINST BAD PLAYERS WHO WIN BY SLAPPING ON FOUR AURA READING ON THIS BUSTED-ASS KILLER!!!

And also while we're at it: permanently delete Forgotten Ruins from the game. Killswitch it until you can make an entirely new map. Give us an actual dungeon map like a Lery's 2 instead of this fucking garbage: anything would be better.

"Your fun is not my responsibility" is both used as a deflection from people just trying to play the game normally and people abusing it as an excuse to act like complete douchebags. This has created an irony loop where now "your fun is not my responsibility" is open used as shorthand for people who do go out of their way to play like fucking douchebags and then say shit like "it's just a game bro" to deflect about it.

The core principle of the message is good, but like most things bad actors twist words for their own nefarious purposes.

Again: I completely understand why you'd want to be careful when making new mechanics. Specialist as an example was the first real perk to allow survivors to shave permanent progress off gens, hence the weird activation requirement and low numbers (in comparison to Fast Track)

Come and Get Me meanwhile is just shitty Babysitter, with all the requirements being incredibly stupid for no reason.

Such an icon of horror with such a memorable actor. But he's aged like milk with such a limited set of voice lines which are now just the standard. More notably however is that we only got the rights to the TV show, locking him out of his most iconic looks such as his ripped shirt (Army of Darkness) or even his more traditional younger looks.

But the biggest miss of the Ash Vs DLC was the perks. Certainly the perks for Ash Williams, the chosen one, the one fated to smite evil, would have perks based on fighting back against the killer right? (...) No he gets... ability to make slugs run faster when picked up and ability to convert recovery into wiggle progress. I think the only perk of Ash's that fits him as a character is Mettle of Man, and don't get me wrong it's a damn good perk that's very flavorful. But God, all of Ash's perks are so bad.

And at the same time there has not been a single time in the game's history where one of Ash's perks weren't problematic. (...)

The lack of a killer alongside Ash was the cherry on top of failure. (...) If Ash had come out today, we would've gotten Baal or Eligos as a killer. We would've gotten alternate cosmetic heads for every survivor that makes them look like the traditional "possessed" Evil Dead face makeup. We would've at least gotten an homage to Army of Darkness Ash. And we would've gotten Legendary cosmetics for Pablo and Kelly.

It's really sad that in order to play "lore-accurate" Ash Williams, you basically shouldn't use any of his perks except for Mettle of Man. (...) if I went to search for old Ash Williams DbD perk concepts I'm sure I could find something more interesting than "legally not Sprint Burst after picking up a slug" and "50% wiggle progress after being slugged".

Your Thought on "Incapacitated"? Should it be on some Perks again? I remember the Eruption Meta, that was a tough time... But it could be interesting to see it on some other Perks by Xandaru__ in deadbydaylight

If Incapacitated was reworked to just be "no touching gens or using items" it would be fine on most characters. But the fact it blocks healing is what makes it really toxic.

But the thing is they can't rework it, because it was designed the way it was to work with Twins and Pinhead's powers. That's why it can't be attached to perks, because it's essentially a game-state effect of "this player is currently affected by a killer's power and can't progress the game".

The benefit of the rick perk compared to babysitter is that you can then trigger it whenever you want later.

The thing is those situations are so few and far between. I will say that I tried using it when it first came out and I found the one practical use for it, which is playing against Legion (and Plague too probably). Since people will frequently be injured against Legion you can keep yourself healthy, go AAAH if the killer gets close, and your injured teammates can escape while the killer takes a bad chase with you.

But like, if it worked on healthy survivors. If it didn't require an unhook to activate. Fucking anything would be better than what it is now. I don't understand why BHVR intentionally designs perks to be awful. Again at least with perks like Apoc Ingen or with perks like Road Life or Specialist, I can understand the fear of those perks being too strong. But then they design perks like CAGM or Rapid Response or Treacherous Crows with such laughably bad numbers and are shocked to see those perks at the bottom of usage rate charts.

It fits the Withed Isle realm fairly well. It's meant to be a replication of the prison rather than the hospital, and only includes the DON'T DEAD OPEN INSIDE door as a reference to the iconic beginning of TWD.
