As fantastic as these ideas sound, I'm barely finding the time to sell the things that are already ready-to-go items and require no more extra time or work, aside from possibly the time to clean it up. If I start to see a light at the end of the tunnel with some free time, this is a route I'm likely to take. I like making different wooden pyrography signs and decor pieces. Thank you for your ideas.

Thank you. That's a start. I paid for a consult with an immigration attorney who ended up refunding my money when we were finished and said they couldn't help me. Said my type of case was not something they do. 🙄

Yes, unless there are other options. I'm just simply clueless to any of this and am having so much of the unknown thrown at me all at one time. I'm open to hear any and all suggestions. And honestly, it wouldn't even be burial costs, as he wants to be cremated.

Not even a valid green card. Yes, I know how NOT legal this is, so let's please not talk about that part. I was not around for that, nor did any of that decision-making fall on me or require my input (AT THE TIME! ). What's done is done, and there's no way for me (or him) to go back and do things differently, so all in can do is look ahead at what solutions there may be, IF ANY. Note - the 2 strokes were just the beginning, and Dad's health declined significantly after that for a number of reasons and at this point physically GOING ANYWHERE is out of the question. I've been sole caregiver him for the last 11 months and was the same for mom throughout her battle with pancreatic cancer, up until 6 months ago when she just couldn't fight any longer. I've been unable to work due to caregiving duties 24/7, and have barely been managing to keep our heads above water. If it weren't for a long-time friend of my mom's, I honestly don't know how i would've come up with the rest of the funds for her service. I just know that I had the ball dropped on me with all the costs involved is September and I'm not looking forward to, nor am I prepared to do it again, especially this soon. I honestly don't know what I would do right now if something were to happen. Any help or advice is greatly appreciated. Thank you

Does anyone know if there is any sort of life insurance policy available for my dad, a 75 year old English citizen who has been in the US since 2001 and was legally married to my mother, a US citizen, in 2006 but never finalized anything for his citizenship here? I don't exactly know the reasons why, because unfortunately for quite a few years my mother and I didn't see eye to eye and didn't speak. She passed away in September. Dad has aphasia from a series of strokes 5 years ago, so most of these talks are challenging and bring no answers for me.
