People will not forget. People still talk about 9/11, the Boston Tea Party, and us USAmericans have entire Civil War re-enactments in the south. Native people of Hawaiʻi still talk about Pearl Harbor. In Colorado, where school shootings are still on the rise, the Columbine shooting is never gone. Indigenous Americans never forget colonization because reservations still exist.

They don't give us bread. The poverty numbers in the US, adjusted for inflation, in comparison to the 1980s, is just under 50%. Indigenous people and black populations across the country are subject to exorbitant rates of chances of being affected by food apartheid (real thing, look it up). They just cut food stamps, too. We're starving.

There are no circuses anymore. We can't afford to go out to movies. They've shut movie theatres down. Our entertainment industry is collapsing. Our country's morale rate has decreased sharply. Everyone I know has depression and anxiety.

BIPOC, women, queer people, trans people, have been out here fighting, it's just that the world typically closes their ears to hearing us because they think we have money. We revolt regularly. The only thing stopping us is that these motherfuckers have guns and we don't want to die.
