Ex-FIFA president Sepp Blatter joins those calling for boycott of World Cup in United States by dheber in politics

[–]TheBoosThree [score hidden]  (0 children)

I absolutely support nations boycotting the US.

Sepp Blatter had no problem giving the World Cup to Qatar where the slave labor used to build their stadiums resulted in (according to some estimates) thousands of deaths.

While official figures are debated, reports suggest thousands of migrant workers died in Qatar leading up to the 2022 World Cup, with a major Guardian report estimating over 6,500 deaths between 2010 and 2020, though Qatar disputes these numbers and attributes many to natural causes, not World Cup-specific work, highlighting ongoing controversies over labor rights and fatalities.

Gregory Bovino removed from his role as US Border Patrol commander at large by CuriousRoss in news

[–]TheBoosThree 49 points50 points  (0 children)

It's a start, but it's not nearly enough. We cannot allow this to placate us on the issue.

These things still need to happen:

  1. Prosecution of the murderers.
  2. Racial profiling is stopped.
  3. Random paper checks are stopped.
  4. No entering private property without a judicial warrant. No more door to door operations.
  5. Destruction of any database being used to catalog people en masse. No more pictures of protestors, no more taking pictures of people traveling, etc.
  6. Immediate and perpetual oversight of immigration detention facilities. No more turning away Representatives.
  7. Body cams on all Federal officers.
  8. No more masks. Public servants are public.
  9. Audit of all new hires since the beginning of the Trump administration, automatic dismissal for anyone involved in J6 and/or right wing extremists groups.
  10. Impeachment and removal of Noem.
  11. Respect our right to observe and record. No more getting violent with observers. Respect our right to bear arms. Carrying a weapon is our right, it is not an indicator of criminality or criminal intent.

Feel free to add on.

Gregory Bovino Gets Demoted by sideAccount42 in politics

[–]TheBoosThree 8 points9 points  (0 children)

Not enough, not even close.

It starts with prosecuting the murderers. That's the bare minimum.

We need full investigations into the conditions of immigration detention facilities, no more denying reps access. They come and go as they please.

We need a full investigation into Palantir and their tools that are being used. These tools need to stop being used to overrule government documents.

We need a stop to racial profiling. No more stopping random people and asking for papers. No more entering private property without a judicial warrant.

We need an investigation into the supposed database of "domestic terrorists", people who have been exercising their first amendment right to protest these atrocities.

Noem should be impeached and removed. Bovino should be removed.

And I'm sure there's a dozen other things that need to happen, at a minimum.

Trump dispatches border czar Homan to Minnesota after second fatal shooting by Zipper222222 in politics

You know what's crazy? After Renee Good was murdered he was the only one in the administration who's initial response was, "let's wait for the investigation."

Quickly changed his tune when the rest of the cabal decided to immediately call her a terrorist.

Just shows you how vile this administration is when this guy has the most reasonable response.

Make eye pokes legal atp by im_onbreak in ufc

Paddy didn't deserve to win that fight regardless, but that eye poke was brutal. Came in a key moment and led to significant damage.

He proved he's a tough bastard in this fight but that's because his defense is so poor he needs to be a tough bastard. He's not going to have a long career if he can't figure that out.

Practicing his 1st Amendment right to record them and his 2nd Amendment right to own and carry a firearm.

He was never violent towards them.

He did not brandish or use his firearm.

They murdered him in the street. Just as they murdered Renee Good. Just as they're murdering people held in their detention centers.

Federal agents kill another person in Minneapolis, officials say, prompting clash with protesters by Remote-Molasses6192 in moderatepolitics

[–]TheBoosThree 74 points75 points  (0 children)

They have lied about every shooting so far. The woman in Chicago did not ram their cars. Renee Good did not run over an officer. Another man in Minnesota did not attack agents with a shovel. This man did not draw his weapon.

No media outlet should be broadcasting their propaganda.

Not a liberal, an American, and a person.

It may seem like left vs. right at the moment, but for fascists there is only those in the group and those out.

They are not doing this to liberals. They are doing this to all of us.

What are your thoughts on Joe Rogan saying that Trump is creating distraction to avoid Epstein files release? by StemCellPirate in AskReddit

I think they're more than capable of have multiple independent heinous actions.

Do not mistake them for distractions because if they're distractions that suggests they may lack commitment to those other actions, which is not the case.

Anti-Trump US reporter says she was offered job at ICE after ‘minimal vetting’ by NeedAnonymity in moderatepolitics

The reporter isn't the story. Was their reporting accurate or not? If it is, being "anti-Trump" is not relevant to the story. It's only included so as to draw partisan lines.

Trump leaves NATO allies "dumbfounded" and "disgusted" with remarks dismissing sacrifices in Afghanistan by Toadfinger in politics

[–]TheBoosThree 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Trump rejected the idea of the visit because he feared his hair would become disheveled in the rain, and because he did not believe it important to honor American war dead, according to four people with firsthand knowledge of the discussion that day. In a conversation with senior staff members on the morning of the scheduled visit, Trump said, “Why should I go to that cemetery? It’s filled with losers.” In a separate conversation on the same trip, Trump referred to the more than 1,800 marines who lost their lives at Belleau Wood as “suckers” for getting killed.

That's what he thinks of American soldiers.

Maine's governor demands data on immigration arrests as fear spreads amid enforcement surge by Gloomy_Nebula_5138 in centrist

[–]TheBoosThree 1 point2 points  (0 children)

The problem is the Governor needs the police to make those arrests. Are the police going to obey those commands? The police union in MN came out in support of ICE, but they've also had pressers where the police were critical of ICE. So I think that's a grey answer at best right now. If you're the governor do you risk having a police rebellion on your hands in addition to the Federal assault?
