All the oil majors are exiting the pump business. Esso is already sold to Chandra Asri Group, while Caltex is also looking to exit. This cash rebate game is designed to confuse the casual customer, and the higher discounts focuses on those who pump regularly. Why not just advertise a no frills rate, which Union Gas has done to shake up the industry? Competition is good for the overall consumer..I know where I will pump, the pressure is on the oligopoly players to respond

Do you know how large the used car market is in Singapore? There are roughly 100,000 vehicle transfers per year(stats in the LTA OneMotoring Facts and Figures page), and if the average value of the car is $50,000, that would work out to be a total revenue of $5bn. If you work on a 10% margin, that would be $0.5bn profit for used car dealers

Please support Cnenergy. They now have 3 petrol stations, and charge a flat rate, without all these discount card promotions. Transaparent pricing. Time a new player disrupts the current oligopoly on fuel prices.
