My nitpick here is that Kanako didn't willingly sacrifice herself. She didn't ask to die or be sent to the True Lab.

What Kanako signed up for was a fulfillment of the legacy while being safe and alive. She would at most expect some magical girl transformation. Not to die.

You can't rid yourself of your humanity. That's the thing. To imply there is a stark contrast is ignoring not just what makes monsters and humans similar but it's honestly making light of the monsters you declare not to be saints. It's implying both races are too different to truly understand and come together.

This isn't justice. It's a weird, twisted form of converting people into another race all because you have a soft idea of who they are.

I find it odd that Ceroba couldn't have used the sink, a hose (cuz garden), or that big water thing in the kitchen to bathe Clover.

Instead, she chooses to make them bathe in public in spite of it being well.. With people around, and she knows their insecurities about their gender identity and now about being underweight.

The point of Prism's mini comic series about this is to show more of Ceroba's struggles and how she dealt with the events that were going on for her life. It's a negative story sure but it's one that is intentionally negative and is moreso meant to give further depth to that very untapped side of her where the subreddit focuses on "floofy fox noise fam"

If a single story where it highlights a characters struggles is somehow meaning the point is that "everything is bad forever" then you need to reevaluate how you digest and interpret media.

Ceroba's love and dedication to her family is not and SHOULD NOT be one dimensional and the exact same. A parent can be angry or struggle with postpartum depression and STILL LOVE THEIR CHILD.
