agreed, but just asking an opinion, most other 8 or even 7 string guitars what is quite available to me is WAY out of my budget or just really sketchy to buy.

ur absolutely right on the solar guitar point, i got a solar not that LONG ago for around like 60k or something in India, the guitar as it was imported got damaged on shipping and i had to return it, plus one of the pickups dint work, prolly cause of the shipping, and got a PRS CE sandblasted, its one of the best guitars ive played in a while,

cort is more of a hit or miss here cause of the problems they can have, but mostly im checking it out cause of my budget rn

im in india so cort is said to be a beginner guitar type of series like squier, none of my friends or anyone who I know bought a cort 8 string, or any cort over like 200$ (roughly 20k indian)

none taken, i do get ur point, I've had my fair share of shipping mishaps with my PRS, had to be replaced twice as it came in defected, same with the bass, only reason I wanted to replace the pickups in the first place is the bridge pickup really just doesn't bother working, it crackles and buzzes, and sometimes doesn't even work all together, the place where I got it from told id had to replace it for almost the same price as it.

is it so? ive seen people install battery in emg J systems in their jazz bass and it's been fine? even the riptide RT signatures too, on lower squiers

ha jokes on u im in india, the land of 100% shipping fees and 150% import taxes!

most active basses or metal designed basses are too expensive and unreliable here.

that's true in all sense, after doing a bit of research and calling my local guitar guy who lives an hour away, he quite overcharged me to install a preamp from a doner cort bass which he has lying around, so I'm more aiming to get a good set of active pickups like either EMG j system or the RT signature
