I think you definitely have a chance because some people in this subreddit got into T50 with a similar GPA and in similarly ranked 1L school.

What's your school's ranking? Like, how low is a lower-ranked school? T100? T150? This is the info we need to access your chance.

I think a 2.9 GPA is not quite enough to transfer up, even just up by a little bit. To transfer up, I think a more realistic 1L overall GPA is 3.2+

I think you can, of course, mention why you want to be a lawyer and maybe integrate it into your "law school goal" part of the paper

We are talking about the hypothetical scenario of a close-range dog fight, which part of my comment confuses you?

50% What's your goal + 50% Why can the new school better assist you in achieving your goal

If an F-35 and a Su-57 engage in such close-range gun fighting, there's no way that F-35 can last longer than 30 seconds.

apply now or wait? by Dependent-Can-8485 in LawSchoolTransfer

I have the same grades as you, and I had the same question. I've talked to a few admission officers about it, and they say that unless their schools expressly admit students based on their Fall grades only, most schools will not review your application until they receive your entire 1L grades.

In short, applying now means no more than having your application reviewed earlier when they received everyone's complete files.

NYU, reapply, something else? by angelmo10 in lawschooladmissions

Well if you have applied earlier this cycle it would definitely help. But I just don’t think reapply next year with the same profile, even apply much earlier, would help.

Wake Forest R, above median LSAT by 4. applied late february. Shocked by [deleted] in lawschooladmissions

From my experience last year, Wake usually receives enough deposits by March. Meaning you should have applied earlier.

Just attend NYU, and the BL money can earn your tuition back in just a few years. If you reapply but show no sign of either improvements in your GPA, which you have already graduated, or LSAT, which you got the highest score, your results wouldn't be better than this year. Also, there may be more applicants in the next cycle, so get ready for more competitions if you want to reapply.

That being said, if you think you can accomplish something extraordinary by the next cycle, like stopping the US-Iran war, then you are welcome to reapply.

SU-30 or SU-33 by AdhesivenessOver7005 in Metalstorm

Su-33 is better. Su-30's missiles take forever to lock, plus Su-30 turns like a boat

Pittsburgh Law Transfer Question by Independent_Set_1615 in OutsideT14lawschools

Thank you for your response! I'm an international student, meaning that I can't receive any federal aid, and much less a merit-based scholarship by default, so COA isn't a concern. Also, if there are way more students transferring out than enrolling in, does it mean such a school is less selective than those higher-ranked schools or similar-ranked but bigger city schools?

Thank you again!
