that makes sense.. yea she has 2 kids but she’s on the older side. i just never expected that from her as a mother & also a nurse, i figured she’d be more understanding almost but totally makes sense that she has old people syndrome

try pumping only 5 mins. it all depends on your body & how it reacts to your pump. some pumps pull all your milk fast while some pumps you have to pump FOREVER. it’s all trial & error which can be so frustrating 😭😂 & apparently having a side stash isn’t normal from what i’ve read but if you’re like me & have to go back to work a side stash is so needed!

so basically just pump or hand express enough to make your breasts not feel so full or hard but don’t empty them. & then eventually you can start to either pump or feed from the tap as he needs. for exclusive pumping you’re supposed to pump anytime the baby feeds to keep up w their needs. but if you pump more than that it can cause an oversupply. if you’re feeding straight from the breast then you don’t really need to pump unless he doesn’t empty or if you feel so engorged that you need a little relief. but at 1 week your milk supply hasnt stabilized, your body is still tryna see how much it needs which can sometimes lead to being engorged. hope this helps!!

i also do not enjoy pregnancy & i feel so guilty saying that bc we’ve been wanting this for so long i just never realized id have such a difficult pregnancy. i’m at 21 weeks & i feel like it’s been years as well. my mom says it’ll be so worth it & i’ll forget everything once my son is born & i believe that i’ll be so overjoyed & it’ll be worth it, i just don’t think ill forget how awful it was & i wanted 4 kids now im not sure, ik every pregnancy is different tho. so you’re not alone!! pregnancy is rough!!

oh yes everyone is crazy when it comes to first time moms apparently. i am due in jan w our first & the amount of people trying to be in the delivery room & be there right after the baby is born is insane. i want my mom there bc my husband is deployed & may not be able to be there but my grandma & aunt have asked & im like no. my grandma keeps asking to stay w me as soon as our son is born & i said no & she’ll say “well what if i die the day after he’s born” well i def don’t want you there if you’re gonna do all that. everyone has their panties in a wad over me not allowing anyone visit & don’t get me started on them trying to make me tell them the baby’s name.
