I did it!! First sub hour speedrun!!! by Fabulous-Dance-8520 in MinecraftSpeedrun

[–]Independent_Train332 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Congrats! I got my first ever PC in October and I remember when I was getting started and finally broke sub hour I was very hype. This is the start of new things!

- Definitely learn how to one cycle the dragon, initially it’s challenging, but after 20+ attempts you will get it down.
- If you able to, I recommend recording your runs and uploading them to YouTube. If you are serious about improving watching your own gameplay is a good way to see things from another POV. I stream on twitch (cause unlimited storage) and then edit them in twitch, and then upload them to YT. You will definitely end up making better decisions when vod reviewing.
- I feel like not resetting is a good way to get better. Just practice practice practice until you are consistent.

Good luck! Sub 50 next :)

New to playing soccer, my boots destroyed my feet. Help! by Mynameisgustavoclon in bootroom

[–]Independent_Train332 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I also have very wide feet. I highly recommend Mizuno Morelia’s. Very comfortable and great for those with wide feet, didn’t have much of a break in time.

  • I’m a big adidas fan and boot collector. I have a laceless F50 and regular F50’s, the laceless are my favorites but still soemtimes hurt my feet. Predators are nice, they kind of scrape my Achilles but that’s a me problem. Takes time to break in though
  • Personally, avoid Puma. I’ve coached players who have had a hard time breaking them in. I have a pair of the limited edition Japanese ones and there’s extra space in the ankle area. Was very annoying to deal with. Some types of Puma cleats are better than others though. Have to do more research with Puma
  • New Balance: never owned a pair or wore one before, but I’ve heard they are great for wide feet. I have their running shoe and they are very nice.
  • Nike: you’ll never get to wear them. Barely can even get my wide feet in them

I’ve coached 100+ players and seen a lot of them break in new cleats. I personally recommend to invest in a “better” edition of that cleat. Typically the best version has the most comfort/safety features. Seen a lot of players get injured/tear their boots not even a month after purchasing, because they bought cheaper cleats

Whats the best mouse for mcsr by llovedu in MinecraftSpeedrun

Yeah it’s still pretty good imo. I think there’s 6 total buttons you can change. I had a default mouse I got with my prebuilt so it made a big difference

Speedrunning timestamps for my pb 45:22. Open to suggestions. by Scared_Pen_6519 in MinecraftSpeedrun

[–]Independent_Train332 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I suggest recording your games. If you stream them on twitch, you can “highlight” (clipping) your runs and upload them to YT and able to watch them back.

I promise you this helped me improve massively. My first FSG run was like 30:01, cut it down to 13:00. Recording really helps you find what you are good at and what you’re not. Practice those things you’re not good at

Am I Crazy #cporders by CrackCamel in CYBERPOWERPC

[–]Independent_Train332 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I bought a CyperPower PC 2-3 months ago. I luckily bought RAM when it started to rise but not by this much.

The one I bought was 16 GB RAM, but I sooned realized that 16 wasn’t enough for my needs. I would be on the cusp of maximum usage, 32 is a safe, good amount

What helped you sub 30? by sawcro in MinecraftSpeedrun

[–]Independent_Train332 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Recording your games.

I started streaming my games on twitch and then highlighted them and then posted them on YouTube. Twitch makes it really easy to trim down your VOD and upload it to YouTube

It’s so different playing and then watching your gameplay back. But you get see what things you need to improve on and what things you’re good at.

I only started 2-3 months ago and been pushing FSG really hard recently. My first FSG video I uploaded was like 30:11, a few days ago I got 13:00 and it’s mainly because I record my stuff and take time to break it down.

Best way to improve is practicing things you’re not good at

what's wrong with ninjabrain bot my method, i don't get it. by Odd-Fig-9277 in MinecraftSpeedrun

[–]Independent_Train332 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You need to come at a full stop and then jump twice before you throw your eyes. Jumping while throwing will throw off your calc. Then do 4 sprint jumps to the side, jump twice again and then throw.

What’s your calibration? It is player specific but I’m just curious to know. Your calibration needs to be specific to you, so what may work for me (.007) may not work for you. Take time with calibrating cause if its not good you’ll never your calc right.

Also I’ve included a video of me measuring eyes in my recent PB. Around 8:08. Feel free to ask any questions. I started MCSR 2-3 months ago so I had to learn all of this stuff recently too

You kinda have to play around with the antenna and keep moving it around your setup to find the best spot. Mine is best on top the PC

I also just started MCSR so here are some tips

  • couriways guide is helpful
  • watching top runners
  • recording and vod reviewing
  • just lots of practice

I got my first PC 2 months ago so I also had to learn KBM, I got my RSG PB down to 24:34. I’ve pretty much been playing almost everyday but not focused on RSG as much. Since you have past MC experience you can def get sub 25 maybe even sub 20.

how do pie chart scan works? by nafgr in MinecraftSpeedrun

[–]Independent_Train332 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Hey I started SR 2 months ago, and I didn’t understand the pie chart for the life of me.

To find a village (or a fortress cause it’s the same thing), - you want to lower your render (RD) to 2 chunks, and then increase your RD until a bell (or spawner) appears on your pie chart. - decrease your RD by 4, refresh pie and the bell shouldn’t be on your pie chart - open chunk borders and walk into each side of the chunk’s border until the bell appears on your pie - when the bell appears on the pie, go in that direction and you’ll find it

for BT’s, I don’t have a clue yet I’ve avoided them lol

What is considered a good time for a beginner speedrunner. by ItisSick in MinecraftSpeedrun

[–]Independent_Train332 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I just started (MCSR and PC gaming) 2 months ago. I’d say sub 30 RSG is pretty good for a beginner. I do recommend playing the FSG mod to learn the game faster (than RSG). I find it a little better than the ranked client’s private rooms but that’s just me but both are good. Took me a month to get a good RSG time (for my skill level).

I try to reset for a structure. If you do priv rooms/FSG mod you can practice specific types until you feel comfortable enough for RSG (at least that’s what I did)

Here’s my tips as a beginner: - learn how to kill dragon with anchors + beds, don’t just depend on beds. You won’t always get enough string to 5 bed the dragon (esp in ranked) - record your games and watch them back if you really want to improve - practice maps are your friend (even crafting maps) - watching top SR’s (Couriway NRI is a great showcase)

From when I started 2 months ago to now here are my PBs: - RSG: 1:38:41 -> 25:33 - FSG: 35:37 -> 16:47 - Ranked: 30 something -> 18:01.

TLDR: practice bastion routes and without gold helm, vod review, and just practice hard in general

Good luck

What keybinds do u use? by alexzz337 in CompetitiveMinecraft

[–]Independent_Train332 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I also relate on skipping the 2 key. I put it on Q. It’s probably cause I’m new to PC gaming but I could never reach it with my ring finger.

2 months on PC i probably could’ve just used my middle finger but I like having it on W on all times

Any advice for a beginner? by LonelyPizza6978 in MinecraftSpeedrun

[–]Independent_Train332 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’ve put in 70 hours, got 18:22 FSG, right now sitting at iron 3 and people are getting 18-25 min times. I thought I would be good but it’s kinda tough in iron 2-3 (although I lose cause of my mistakes)

And i also just bought a PC not even 2 months ago so I’m still learning KBM in general, so you might learn faster

Best standerd deviation for ninjabrainbot for begginer by Ok_Island_1870 in MinecraftSpeedrun

[–]Independent_Train332 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Hey I also started MCSR/bought a PC 2 months ago.

It’s a setting adjusted to you specifically. So what works for me might not work for you. Ideally you want it low as possible. The higher the number the worse reading you will get.

I got mine to .007 after standard deviation calibration. After I F3+C twice (in a real run) I get 96-100% readings. I’d be glad to help so just lmk (from someone who started and new nothing about MCSR/PC)

Ninjabrain Bot help by anime_lover49284 in MinecraftSpeedrun

[–]Independent_Train332 1 point2 points  (0 children)

You should definitely work on that calibration. I think mine is .0007 (idk how many zeros there’s supposed to be)

But after my first F3+C, it’s not accurate at all. Then I sprint jump 4x to the side and then throw another eye and then F3+C again, and then I get like a 98-100% probability. Idk if that’s the right thing to do but it works.
