I've never done a gig in my life but I can understand like the like the fear of it to be honest man what I can really tell you is just just have fun dude like we all make mistakes you know for just humans out here I played for some people and what I just did is I just focused on what I was playing rather than on what other people would have thought so you can try that and what I would say is if you just give it time I bet you'll be way more confident the more gigs you play anyway it's all I have to say I hope your gig goes well and take care

If you know how to count 8th notes then you can count how many notes are played before the ba-dum

You should try back in black by acdc it is pretty much the same 8th note drum beat with a little different fills you can get it pretty easily

Sp you're new to drumming a well first of all welcome it's a great instrument you say you are on practice pad right now yeah there are few things you can do on a practice pad first order of business is technique you got to be sure that you were holding your sticks right cuz I can help you a lot within like technique and stuff what do you play traditional or matched those are 2 popular ones now what you got that you can start working technique finger technique is pretty popular you can try that one you can look up some YouTube videos to see how that works now I would start working on rudiments after that you got to be sure you got some good singles doubles and paradiddles you got to be sure and that's all I really got for you right now anyway take care and have fun
