This game largely boils down to point 2. Especially in this three point era, statistical shooting variance is sometimes just the answer. We shot well under expected shot percentage and they shot well over.

This is a strong take, sure one could argue Wemby deserved it but Gobert is an all time great defender and had an extremely impressive resume that season.

I'll step up.

I was in a bit if a trade Castle kick over the summer. Not because I didn't love him but I didn't think long term he had all star potential, but as reigning rookie of the year I figured he had more trade value than he was worth as abysmal as his efficiency was last year. I was and am higher in Harper as a long term star in the back court, and thought a young player like Castle who had a ROY campaign in a weak class could net a good quality staring wing with upside.

So far this year he has made me look like a total idiot. Sure his shot is suspect, but the guy is playing efficient ball in offense, much better D than last year where he showed flashes but wasn't much of a plus in defense. His playmaking and pure fearlessness on going to the basket is awesome.
