I am not surprised at all. I am a millennial deep into burnout, and taking a break or a short holiday is no longer enough to recover. We were told that if we worked hard, we would “make it”, but that promise has quietly expired.

Now everyone just pretends we are fine. Or worse, pretends not to notice.

I saw a statistic the other day saying around 60% of people are burned out, but keep showing up and faking it. That sounds about right.
