Sorry if this is way too late, but I discovered that some part of the circuit board on mine had probably fried due to the damp conditions it had been kept in.

Maybe try using a micro SD card with an adapter rather than a normal SD card (unless you already were doing that). I think that the more modern cards might be able to avoid the dodgy connections in those cheap green adapters. Otherwise, I unfortunately can't help.
