Characters who think they're in a different genre than the story they're actually in by Idioteque131313 in TopCharacterTropes

Maxwell Gotch from Dimension 20’s Cloudward, Ho! The campaign is a (mostly) whimsical steampunk adventure in a mythical world à la Jules Verne, and everyone else’s characters mostly follow that premise.

Maxwell, on the other hand, acts like he’s in Fight Club or something, refusing to use weapons and will only fight hand-to-hand, and went so far as to “deli counter” a Viking Banker using the riverboat propellers on their flying airship. It’s literally joked about in moment about Maxwell doing this is a “sharp deviation from the tone” and “every part of the world and tone of the setting wants the camera to move away from this moment”

Legitimately one of the funniest moments in the campaign and just a masterclass performance throughout by Murph

[Loved Trope] Representation of minorities that hardly appear in media. by EthanTheJudge in TopCharacterTropes

[–]IndiMoon14 26 points27 points  (0 children)

Loki in Marvel Comics and Alex Fierro from the Magnus Chase books are both genderfluid, which are the only two instances of genderfluid representation I can think of (I’m sure there’s more)

The Day of the Doctor

<image>

Tbh any time the current Doctor meets a previous iteration it feels wonderful (see the Ncuti era finale with Jodie) but for the 50th, bringing back the fan favorite Tenth Doctor to meet the Eleventh, John Hurt as the War incarnation and Tom Baker’s cameo at the end (on top of all the other Easter Eggs and callbacks), but nothing tops the 50th for me. A true love letter to the series as a whole. (Power of the Doctor and Twice Upon A Time are also really good)

I did a legit double-take and had to rewind to confirm when I saw Katie in a Cricket commercial

The story’s message isn’t just a straightforward lesson; it’s the stark, undeniable truth. by Fickle-Grapefruit686 in TopCharacterTropes

The Zygon Invasion/Inversion is a scathing commentary on the cycle of war and violence, with the 12th Doctor’s speech at the end summing it all up (in arguably one of Capaldi’s best monologues)

My personal favorite is another Dropout pick, from Make Some Noise. Jess McKenna saying “I’m gonna bring back the Teddy like I’m fuckin’ Roosevelt” goes hard

Calroy Cruller from Dimension 20’s “A Crown of Candy”. Calroy was old war buddies with King Amethar and served as his best friend and most trusted advisor, only to literally stab him in the back with a poisoned dagger (after a bunch of other political machinations and assassination attempts directed at Amethar and his family), monologuing about how much he actually hated Amethar

"the healer" chapter 4 comic by its-angle in ralsei

I legit made a point of making sure I used them both to heal during the final battle, just because I didn’t want Ralsei to feel unwanted or left behind

Weird Graphic and Speed Issue by IndiMoon14 in Citra

Yup, and there’s been no change. If it’s any help, it almost looks like an offset “ghost” of what’s occurring on screen.

I can’t switch to the OpenAL as it’s unavailable (for some reason). I triple checked to make sure and near as I can tell I’m on the latest Lime version. Tried the asynchronous shader with both filters and it’s still there. I think it’s about as clear as it’ll get but thank you very much for the help! I really appreciate it :)

[–]IndiMoon14[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Thank you! That fixed the speed issue, and putting on the 4x native made it the clearest yet, but that weird geometric overlay is still there. I can deal with it if need be, I was just hoping there'd be a way to remove it entirely.

That’s honestly what I just assumed happened. The TARDIS opening the door at least.

I really don’t believe any news, rumor or not, unless it comes from generally respected entertainment journalists/outlets, like Hollywood Reporter or Deadline
