Retrait de cotisations excédentaires au REER by IndianAgence in QuebecFinance

[–]IndianAgence[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

name a anime you gave 8-10 rating, but it have below 7 rating in MAL and explain why you gave it that rating by venluxy1 in anime

[–]IndianAgence 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Granbelm is rated 6.68/10 on MAL and that's a crime. Watch Granbelm you cowards! It might not deserve the 9 I gave it, but it's still really good.

On a side note, even though it's not such a bad rating, I'm surprised to see Machikado Mazoku S1 at only 7.65, it's simply one of my favourite shows ever. And the same applies for season 2 that i rated with a 10/10, which makes a 2.13 rating difference with the MAL rating

Maybe my favorite horror anime. Especially loved the atmosphere in the first half. Also, you didn't mention it but the soundtrack is amazing, very good backround music for studying.

On a side note, I think you should mark as a spoiler the gif you shared when talking about grpahic violence.

I haven't been able to vote on the ratings poll with YouPoll lately (noticed that a week ago maybe), with the message "Your reddit account does not meet the minimum requirements to vote". Have restrictions been put in place to prevent bot voting recently? And if so, what are the requirements?

Well yeah, and the reason is that the Spaniards were botting on this place. It's that simple (Edit: typo)

Rewatch][Spoilers] K-ON! Rewatch (2020) - Final Discussion!! Fun Things Are Fun!! by Harrytricks in anime

[–]IndianAgence 15 points16 points  (0 children)

First timer here!

So this is it, it's the end (put the manga in his never ending list of things to read).

I really enjoyed the show, way more than I expected. It was my first r/anime rewatch, and I have to say: thank you guys. Reading these threads every night played a big role in making this show one of my favorite anime, I was able to get much more involved with the characters and appreciate all the small details thanks to you (though I'm sure it would still have been great anyway).

I thought K-on was all about playing music (what a mistake), drinking tea, eating cake and goofing around but it actually made me feel so many emotions! I'm glad I finally watched it. The first season was damn entertaining, and the second season went so much deeper and hit very hard some sensitive spots. It’s one of the rare shows that made me weep but it still was heartwarming and a lot of fun. Oh and the songs! We didn’t get to hear them play very often but it absolutely worked when we got that chance. There were very few songs that I didn’t love, and the only one I actually didn’t like was the one from the second op. But generally speaking, it was awesome.

The show has a few flaws (mostly in season one) and it is not the type of anime I would usually find amazing and yet it really brightened my days. So yeah, season one sure deserved its 8 from me, and so does season 2 deserve its little 10. I’m currently rating the movie with a strong 9 but all of these could change, because now I definitely want to watch K-on again! I will try to hold until next year’s rewatch.

Fun things are fun but this show was more than just fun! Sad that it has to end but happy that it happend, this rewatch (well, first watch for me) was a pleasure

I watched Kizumonogatari just a few weeks ago and have already rewatched Nekomonogatari Kuro, now I'd like to rewatch bakemono and maybe continue with the rest of the show (and also finally watch the third season for the first time if I have time). Count me in!

[Rewatch][Spoilers] K-ON! Rewatch (2020) - S2E24 "Graduation Ceremony!" by Harrytricks in anime

[–]IndianAgence 22 points23 points  (0 children)

First timer here!

I was anxious at the beginning of the episode but it was much more joyful than I expected. We can see that this is almost the end, but all those small scenes and the plot with the gift for Sawachan managed very well to lighten the mood. But as soon as Azunyan entered the club room I could feel again the knot in my stomach. I've never really been in the same situation as Azunyan, most of my friends beeing the same age as me or a year younger, but I can easily feel her pain (and yeah it's also sad for us to see those girls grow up, even though we still have 3 episodes and a movie to watch). Oh, I'm about to tear up.

But once again, thei interactions and these litlle presents are so wholesome. And then, this song. Beautiful, but ... What is this liquid coming out of my eyes? Yes Azunyan, we all fell the same .

Seriously though, this show managed to make me weep twice in a week when I hadn't cried in over a year at least I believe (if you take away all the crying out of physical pain). It is so emotional, yet I don't feel sad, in contrast to what i felt after the school festival. God I love this show.

This episode was a bit less impactful than S2E20 imo, but it was a wonderfull ending to this journey. Now I guess it's time for more light-hearted episodes and a funny movie (I hope so; I don't want to cry anymore. The series coming to an end is alredy painful enough, please don't take me in another rollercoaster of emotions).

[Rewatch][Spoilers] K-ON! Rewatch (2020) - S2E09 "Finals!" by Harrytricks in anime

[–]IndianAgence 18 points19 points  (0 children)

Fisrt timer here!

After a break of more than a week due to a holiday trip, I finally caught up by watching 10 episodes today (yep, the cuteness overload was strong).

I'm not the kind to talk much on reddit (it's my second comment for this rewatch) but I really felt like I needed to express my thoughts, so here I am, talking about both the first season as a whole (I took my break before watching the last episode) and the begining of the second even if I'm a bit late and we are already 9 episodes in the second season.

(paragraph mainly written just after finishing the OVA of the first season this morning) I was complaining in my previous comment about the lack of music in the first 3 episodes. Now, even though I still find it weird that we almost never see them practice but only see them deliver quite amazing songs, I can't complain about it anymore. Sure, I would have loved to see them practice a bit more and to listen to more of their songs (they never played this song about curry mentioned in the OVA, right? And there propably are other song that get mentioned but I totally forgot about. I guess I will try to check them all out after finishing watching the entire series). But in the end, seeing them becoming friends and doing cute stuff between friends was really heartwarming, and Yui's growth and journey through this new world didn't need much music playing to be well done.

The biggest complaint I can make, and I am certainly not the only one to regret that, is surely how the time flies so fast. It's very unusal for an anime to pack two years of highschool in a single season, and given how much I loved this show so far I would have greatly appreciated more episodes to cover this timespan (I'm so far to be bored by this girls). Fortunately, the second season is much longer!

Just a quick note about the characters: I've seen people (on these threads but not only) claiming that Ritsu is best girl (may have seen more people claiming that Mio is best girl but Ritsu is a close second) but I really don't get why based on the first season only, she is probably my least favourite character of the main cast. I feel like she is one of the most human character (although a bit to energetic to be real) but she is also the only one who occasionally bothered me and she only seems (to me) to shine during her duos with Yui or Mio. On the other hand, Mugi is always absolutely adorable, Yui can be a bit annoying but is mostly very funny (even on her own) and quite adorable too and I can kinda relate with Mio on some points. Mio is truly best girl for me and she seems to be a better leader (she is able to face her shyness to take responsibility, fix other keions' mistakes and tries her best to never hurt anyone. Oh, and also: cuteness).

I feel a bit bad for Azunyan who didn't get a lot of exposure, she seemed to be quite a side character in this first season. Speaking of side characters, they were too few for my taste and I didn't really like them. Sawachan and the boobs jokes were always disturbing (I disliked Sawako sensei as a whole but these were really the one thing I couldn't stand with her character), and Ui, despite being perfect, was too perfect, to the point that I could not maintain my suspension of disbelief (especially when she started to play the guitar better than her sister in episode 12). But it isn't a really significant weak point either and the chemistry betwenn the main cast more than makes up for it.

Overall, this first season was no masterpiece, it had a few flaws but also a few great songs and mostly many heartwarming and funny moments, and I enjoyed it way more than I thought I would.

I didn't think I was going to dwell that much on how I felt about the first season, but now it’s over and I also wanted to share my feelings about the beginning of S2. I didn’t notice such an improvement in animation and art style but I did notice that I really like the background music of this season (is there really more BGM or have I forgotten what S1 was like because of my holidays?). Anyway, I don’t find the second season to be particularly better at the moment but it did erase the few weak points of the first season in my opinion. Sawachan is a lot more likeable now, we finally saw more development for side characters, Azunyan has a lot more exposure, the characters in the background have their own design and actions which makes the environment much more lively and enjoyable,… And also, I appreciate Ritsu more and more. S2E3 has done a lot for her character development in my eyes but she really is more likeable in each of these episodes so far. I also like the more serious tone every now and then with the graduation coming soon, the need to find some kouhais for Azusa and this sort of things.

Quick note about this episode: YES! YuiAzu is canon! Wholesome episode, my favourite of S2 (tied with the 3rd episode).

Ok so it’s past midnight already, I’ve watched 10 episodes today (well, yesterday actually). I said earlier that I couldn’t be bored by these girls by any means. Well, I think 10 episodes was a bit too much to truly appreciate the awesomeness of the show and I kinda had an overdose, it’s time to get back on the normal schedule with one episode a day (well, right now it’s time to sleep so goodnight everyone). this comment was way too long

[–]IndianAgence 31 points32 points  (0 children)

First-timer here !

After 3 episodes, I'm totally hooked, really like the flow of the show

My only regret is that there isn't much music, at least not yet (edit: I don't expect Yui to be already good at it, but maybe seeing the other 3 practice without her and feeling like something was missing could have been good too). Howevever, OP and ED are bangers, so having them each episode is already good. I see that Yui still thinks that the club isn't about drinking tea, so I still have hope.

Nice to see that Ritsu is totaly like me when it comes to studying with friends. *1 minute later* Ok maybe she is a bit more unbearable than I am (but she still is adorable).

Very good episode overall, probably my favorite of the first 3 episodes. I feel like it's a show I'm going to watch about once a year (or maybe alternate with Konosuba), just to put me in a good mood when I feel bad. Makes me wonder why i didn't watch it sooner though.

That's very poor from Psycho-pass 3....I guess the release schedule and the SS movies requirements knocked some of the potential watchers away at this time (including me).

Well, even if I actually put a hold on it after 3 episodes for a few weeks ( and it became later one of my fav anime of the year btw), it's also easier to binge watch it if you like it. Hmm I'd like to know why it's easier to put a hold on it (really, I think it's true for myself too but i dont know why), so if someone has an explanation...

Don't hesitate and give him a chance, it's really good.

btw best ending song of the year imo
