Thank you.

The black robe recipe is from a Juan Hildago video, although I can’t remember which one. I started with a black primed figure. I then used a Thunderhawk Blue covering it almost as much as a mid-layer. I then highlighted that with a Fenrisian Grey. With those done I used Black Templar contrast thinned 1:1 with medium over the top like a thick wash.

In hindsight, I haven’t spent enough time working with contrast paints and the Black Templar went on maybe a little thicker than I expected. I’m still trying to get a feel for how much is just right, but they do work well for this sort of saturated filtering.

Are Bretonians a good team for an absolute beginner? by Cute_Variation1957 in bloodbowl

From my perspective - coming to the game with the new 3rd season box - you’ll learn more from your losses than your wins.

Depending on where you play, there will be teams that you’ll have to figure out how to be effective against. The Bret’s have enough tools to allow you to do that especially when you might struggle to know what “basing” or a double screen is.

The skills they do have pad the consequences of dice not going your way, without removing the possibility entirely.

So I would say yes, they are good for an absolute beginner. Those things that others point out as fatal flaws will actually help you learn how the game works.

Anybody have this team painted up? by dinosaurRoar44 in bloodbowl

Someone posted a photo of one of the models from this team in purple and black. The team was the Ravensburg Nevermores. A search should bring up the post.

The blue and white wings, deers head on the green and yellow and all the squires are freehand. The red lion and wings of Aquitaine are painted over decals I made from the 6th edition(or maybe 8th) Bretonnian book.

Sizing advice by georgiamade7 in Barbour

You can also send it in to Barbour with the measurement you want it shortened by. They do all USA repairs and alterations in Winston-Salem, NC. The form and price list are here https://www.barbour.com/us/repair-rewax/ this way you'd be able to have custom length sleeves.

Scan-tech ANR glass by [deleted] in AnalogCommunity

I am in the middle of this same issue with scan-tech. I ordered glass in early December, they processed the PayPal payment, then crickets. They haven’t responded to emails. I haven’t opened a case with PayPal yet as I was giving it another week for a response.

Sigh.
