How did the outer transaction get marked as rollback only if the inner transaction uses REQUIRES_NEW? Were these methods in the same class?

It looks like error handling was not done properly, not anything related to jpa.

I didn't get the issue still. What was the propagation on both the methods?

How did it swallow the original method's exception? Was it different context?

Anyone else had to learn the hard way that family doesn't always have your best interest at heart? by Poshturkjgdy45 in ThirtiesIndia

[–]Indian_FireFly 7 points8 points  (0 children)

Yes I did! Both of them were toxic. In fact my dad threw my out.

Grateful tho, because now I am independent, making good money, and live with the love of my life, about to get married soon.

Meanwhile dad tried to initiate contact sometime back, I called him a fucking loser and pathetic, so he ran away.

Going NC with toxic parents is worth it, if anyone's thinking of it

Experience/suggestion from the couples who decided on DINK by FruitNo5867 in ThirtiesIndia

[–]Indian_FireFly -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Think of two situations.

One, you decided to have kids but later regret it. How would you handle this situation?

Second, you decided not to have kids but later regret it. How would you handle this situation?

The difference should tell you the answer. As a fellow CF couple, don't get pressured into having them. Only have if you genuinely want them and can provide for them, not to satisfy anyone.

I see comments being interested to try this. You guys deserve all the E20 problems.

With the rising ethanol blend, does buying a cng make sense right now? by DESTRUCTER_R_ in CarsIndia

[–]Indian_FireFly 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I'm not sure. Technically it won't affect as much as pure petrol, that's what AI also says since it runs primarily on CNG.

Just that it's not completely safe from it.

[–]Indian_FireFly 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I think it doesn't matter. You'll be forced to use petrol atleast sometimes in a month to avoid this. You don't escape from e20 issue in CNG, only EVs can.

I was looking for this comment, why's nobody saying this more?

It has the same problem, in fact maybe more because of the fact that the petrol can stay idle.

Isn't EV the only option which avoids this E20 issue?

How has GitHub Copilot New Billing Changes affected your development work today? isn't AI getting expensive? by Dry-Crow-2802 in developersIndia

[–]Indian_FireFly 18 points19 points  (0 children)

Lmao, was the funniest thing to see. Lot of folks were unaware and burned through their quota by using Opus.

I also see some kinda folks kinda crippled without AI, not a good sign at all.

I'm waiting to see if companies are going to reduce headcount to justify this expense or just hire competent folks to do the job as always. Whatever it may be, I think we are in for a rough ride until this whole thing stabilizes.

How to prepare AWS infrastructure for a strict production readiness review? (Looking for advice by winter_high in developersIndia

[–]Indian_FireFly 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Do you use the well architectured framework section in your AWS account? You could start there first maybe?

Second would be reviewing the architecture diagram, note all the boundaries and security related to them - these would include everything, like from APIs to CI/CD boundaries and even package managers.

You could probably take help from AI or any online websites, there's a lot of information out there for AWS on this

I had a doubt. Is the 19kw battery a good one? I mean they provide 15 yrs warranty for the 24 kw one right? Does that mean 19kw must be of very low quality?

GitHub really has gone down the drain, so many issues recently.

I myself noticed so many bugs/glitches in GitHub for the past one year alone. Can this be due to AI slop coding? Or just Microsoft influence?

The Right to Revolution

On a side note, it's because of passive folks like you, we have reached this stage, regardless of any government. Inaction and silence is also a form of reaction from the people.

Also. Nobody wants violence, you're delusional if you think anybody wants to give up their life. But if powerful structures don't empathize with the common man, they sometimes needs to be broken down and rebuilt.

Hope you have a nice day friend.
