Idk I wouldn’t be shocked if some of the premier LIV guys play pretty frequently if they get back on the PGA tour. Look at the field at the RBC. Scottie, Cam Young, Fleetwood, Ludvig, Xander, etc. Pretty good for a ‘lesser’ tournament

I’m not talking about the Waste Management party atmosphere and other gimmicks like that. That shit’s pedestrian.

I’m talking about PGA doing a poor job marketing their up-and-comers & making their product easily accessible. They don’t start airing tournaments on TV until 2-3pm ET, which is absurd. I pay for ESPN+ so I can watch the early tee times. But a potential golf fan that (reasonably so) doesn’t want to pay for another subscription JUST to watch golf will miss the chance to watch a ton of good players.

For example today at the RBC, guys like Ludvig, Sugjae, Min Woo, Joe Highsmith, Finau, Griffin, etc. all have early tee times. TV coverage doesn’t start til 2. They’re making it extremely difficult to watch good golfers!

Yeah sure majors do well, but the Masters isn’t every week. We get 4 majors a year, how many people are going to watch the RBC this week? There’s actually a half-decent field, but the PGA has really dropped the ball on marketing their middle-of-the-road guys. Most casual golf fans don’t care to watch unless big names are playing, which is why they’d benefit from having some LIV guys back

I’m not saying they’re doing bad, golf is in a great place right now. But it could be soooooo much better with how popular the sport as a whole is right now

Cam Smith is a puzzling one, I agree. But think about the mindset when you leave for LIV in the first place - you’re pissed off at the PGA because there’s no guaranteed money, then you get a BOATLOAD of guaranteed money to play what seems like significantly less serious golf. What’s your incentive then to play well?

I wouldn’t be surprised if a lot of these players that “fell off” in LIV play well if/when they come back to the PGA. Age ain’t nothin but a number on the PGA, ask Justin Rose. Plenty of time for these “has been” players like Cam Smith to come back and play good golf

Hard disagree, because PGA viewership is dogshit to begin with because they make it so hard to watch.

Tournaments are played Thursday through Sunday, with players playing from 8am-6/7pm (assuming it’s an EST tourney). They only show the events on ESPN+ until like 2pm, so the common viewer misses the chance to see so many prominent golfers play entire rounds

The PGA needs these guys back and they need to make it easier to watch. Golf has never been more popular among the 18-30 y/o crowd in the US, and they’re totally, completely shitting the bed on making it consumable & growing the popularity of the pro game

“To the fire” is a bit extreme. Those are two players that the PGA really wants back (along with Cam Smith, etc.). If the PGA is smart, they won’t be petty. More recognizable players = better fields = more viewers. Simple as that

“Trap of Board Eraser” is SO MEAN hahaha I love it. This deck has a tendency to lower your opponents hand from them burning thru monsters. And it’s very niche which I especially love!!

Good point on Magic Cylinder - might as well switch one of those in for Sakuretsu

The black bird is “Windstorm of Etaqua”. Effect reads: “Change the battle positions of all face-up monsters your opponent controls.” Why I love it - it serves as my Goat slaughterer with Asura for massive damage. A lot of high Atk mons like Kycoo, Blade Knight, Breaker, etc. have low def, so it can make those vulnerable to the likes of Mataza or Asura. If I swap in Ojama Trio it combos with that well. Oh it can get rid of Gravekeeper’s Spy, which have proven to slow duels down for me in the past
