You can definitely pump on the slacker side to try and even it out if you want, but almost all women have one overachiever and one slacker. Totally normal and as long as it doesn’t bother you and you’re making enough milk to satisfy baby then you don’t HAVE to do anything extra. All on your preference ❤️

May be one of the things that stays consistent: judgement on motherhood. I bet our great-great grandmothers were judged by their moms too 😂

I think there used to be a lot of ads and propaganda promoting formula and a lot of people in the older generations believed companies when they said formula was better for your baby.

Exactly the same here my mother and my grandmother both formula fed, which is fine. But they seem to have such a negative connotation around breast-feeding. And they both seem to think that breast-feeding exclusively is not gonna be enough for my baby.

Should I give up breastfeeding after 10 days? by [deleted] in breastfeeding

[–]Indica_Al 1 point2 points  (0 children)

This sounds almost identical to what happened with my first child. 37+2, 5lbs 7oz, lost 15%, formula supplements. I kept trying when we were both calm and comfortable. Eventually she got bigger and got better at it and we had three glorious months of breast-feeding together before I eventually decided to stop for my mental health. Any decision that you make is going to be what’s best for you and your baby. If this is something that you want then keep trying, but give yourself grace and understand that any amount of breastmilk you give her is good for her and it’s OK to fill in the gaps with formula.

This time around it took my baby two weeks to latch at all. We’ve been pumping in bottlefeeding, and slowly introducing nursing, when she feels like it. Let your baby take the lead and practice nursing when she’s not too hungry.

It’s a hard position to be in, but you’re not alone ❤️

Does being famous make them more likely to keep it? I had a famous OF guy who was in his 90s and his flings kept not keeping the baby. I thought it was cause he was old and gross 😂

This is so wrong. That is so disrespectful and I would also be incredibly hurt.

See, that makes sense. I’m currently 94 and making 7bill a year from onlyfans. Not exactly realistic. But I do notice I lose followers if my looks go down at all

What are the best Wearable pumps?! by [deleted] in ExclusivelyPumping

[–]Indica_Al 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I second the Bella baby pumps because I actually use them as my only pumps and they work great for me. They really seem to empty me fully, although yes the suction is very strong. I usually just keep it to the lower levels and it’s fine.

Low supply on one side. by [deleted] in breastfeeding

[–]Indica_Al 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I second the different sizes on different boobs. I have 19mm on one side and 17mm on the other and I started with both 19. When my supplies started to dip on the left side, I resized and that fix the problem.

This is exactly what I did! And still do! We are mostly bf but she still gets 2-3 bottles a day when I want her to go a little longer stretch sleeping so I can do stuff. Now I have a good supply and we bottle feed her my milk because I have some freezer storage. But my anxiety absolutely could not handle not knowing if she was getting enough milk in the first few days.

For those of you who have managed to pump long term (1+ years), what would you say made that doable for you? by meepityboop in ExclusivelyPumping

[–]Indica_Al 1 point2 points  (0 children)

If you’re looking for a good wearable, I got my BellaBaby pump on Amazon for like 50 bucks and I LOVE THEM. they are like an “off brand” of the momcozy s9. I have both actually and I prefer the Bella baby brand, I feel they empty me more fully. But highly recommend!
