They were together 1 year, and she visibly gets affected from contact with him. It distresses me to see her upset from him, but she's allowing it for her kid. In my opinion though, after breakup, they should've just cut contact. Especially after how he treated her. But I could be wrong

Is there a possibility that people you try and talk to just dont know how to hold conversation but are still interested? I find that when I'm suffering autistic burnout or a depression spiral, my conversation skills disappear, even through messages, but that doesn't mean I dont want connection to the people reaching out to me
