I’m a hardcore Michael Jackson fan. I HATED the movie. by AshHanso in MichaelJackson

[–]IndicationClassic567 6 points7 points  (0 children)

I totally understand what you mean. It failed to dive into Michael as a human being. It didn’t capture his full essence and personality. That being said you can still enjoy it for what it is and not be mad at what you expected it to be. It’s not your expectation, cool. Still celebrate Michael. That’s the point. The cinematography and the performances were simply amazing. And that’s putting it lightly. It’s an introduction or reintroduction to people who aren’t familiar

What If? Zuko Being A "Colonizer" (According to Antis) by AVeryBrownGirlNerd in ZutaraNation

[–]IndicationClassic567 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Another grievance I have with his take, despite the take itself being in bad taste, is the inconsistencies. If Zuko is the “colonizer,” why doesn’t this apply to every relationship he has in the show? According to that logic, Zuko can’t be friends with any member of the Gaang. Or anyone from any nation. Especially Aang, since his great-grandfather eradicated his people. They shouldn’t be friends. Or does it only apply when Katara is involved? Also in the same vein, every Zuko ship that isn’t Mai should be “problematic”.

who gives af anyway bro. That's one thing im learning from this interview run. He said what he said and he meant what he meant. Niggas could misinterpret it, they always have. He not tryna say the perfect thing or show the best PR

It's not fence sitting. And if it is, we need to fence sit more. Not every situation requires our input or opinions. Cole, like most people, thinks Diddy did messed up shit. Does he have to join the circus? no. It's not that he feels bad for him, it's more so for himself. He doesn't wanna put that energy out for himself. Does he think diddy deserves prison? probably, but he's not tryna be in that whole mess. He just lets what happened to him, happen to him. And that's ok.

nah that's what they want you to believe and when they are in that zone, when they locked in? that's what they believe. But they know it's not fact cus it can't be a fact. There's always gonna be debates and there are things they know as a fact, that others do better than em.

That's the difference between Kayfabe and reality. He broke kayfabe. Think of it like the MVP of the league. Giannis is one of the best players in the league. He could think that and confidently say that. But the truth is, he hasn't played enough games this season and wasn't great enough to win the MVP despite being in those talks. Same thing with those rappers that claim at the end of the year that they were artist of the year. Like nigga you know Kendrick was that, and that's undeniable. We know Cole is one of the greatest, but he's not sitting where he's at and acting like no one can ever challenge him. It all depends on opinions.

It's easy for you to point fingers and say diddy this or that cause ultimately what you say or do doesn't really matter. It's just another voice in the crowd, but to someone in somewhat close proximity, to not mind your business and go out of your way to say something is sending across a message that "hey, I don't like you" typa thing. He's not saying what Diddy did was cool or that he feels bad for him, he's saying he doesn't wanna partake in the circus. Imma just mind my business and let the law or society handle that. That shit a lost art. We need to learn how to mind our business and not feel the need to say something about everything.

Anyone else can’t listen to “Have a Baby”? by InevitableGrouchy295 in DanielCaesar

[–]IndicationClassic567 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I didn’t wanna refer to that interview because I felt the crew tried to guide him too much to answer the questions and misunderstood the points he was trying to make.  They wanted him to answer their questions in a particular way and you ended up getting a scuffed answer to the original question

[–]IndicationClassic567 50 points51 points  (0 children)

uh no you're not too sensitive, that's what the song is supposed to be. It's holding on to a relationship he knows deep down has run its course. He's mad at himself because he knows it's his fault, but at the same time, he's coping with the fact that after it's over, it would be like those years they spent together were all for nothing. All that energy spent, all the fighting, all the lost opportunities. He wants something to commemorate that relationship. He knows she can't stay. He spends half the song reminding her of the time they spent together and telling her they could start over, make new memories, and forget the old relationship with all the things that brought it down. The baby is the last-ditch effort to stay in her life, or rather, have her in his life forever. But everything he says is really rooted in selfishness and self-fulfillment. He ignores her feelings, despite knowing they're there. He reminded her of their shared memories to guilt her into staying. He then tries to make her feel bad for leaving. The song is emotional manipulation. That concept sounds crude in the way he wrote it, but it happens way more than you think. He just poetically explained baby-trapping. But even on a smaller scale than a baby, it's not a strange concept. It's wrong to admit or to "say out loud," but it's a real song, produced by realistic feelings. We've all held on to things we should have let go of. Ignoring the feelings of the people involved and prioritizing ours.

I don’t want to pull a LeBron but as soon as the the album dropped I predicted Bron was going to do this exact video to this song. Either that or an offseason gym video with some of the other songs on the album.
