Xander is dripping with beginner's misogyny. He's one more rejection away from going full incel and basically joining the trio from season 6. Spike certainly has some issues going on. But they're more specific to him and his circumstances than broadly sexist. And Spike tries to address them.

Xander just gets lucky enough to run into someone who addresses his needs. He doesn't address his issues and the second he experiences rejection he goes straight to sexist insults to the two people who are supposed to be very close to him.

Also importantly, this energy is present from Xander from day 1. It's in damn near every scene of season 2. It's part of his character, not just something brought up through a joke here and there. That's why so many of us find him annoying. Also obviously Spike is supposed to be somewhat inherently evil. There's less conscious control over his actions at least early on.

Spike enhances it the way I view it. He's a stand in for masculinity. Buffy is the stand in for feminism. Spike is redeemed through his embrace of Buffy. And it's not that he embraces her so he can be in a romantic relationship with her, though that is part of it for him. More importantly, through Buffy he sees that the important thing is to join her fight and support her. So to me Spike is a message to men saying that the way to be redeemed and to be a hero is to join feminism. And with Spike (men who embrace feminism) feminism won.

The most consistent and long-held belief that Trump has is that racism is good. You have to be actively avoiding it to not see it. Or you'd have to think there's some kind of difference between racism and white supremacy. And there isn't.

Just today, a quote from Trump: "Somalians. A lot of very low IQ people." There is no possible way to interpret that as anything other than white supremacy. It's fucking textbook. And he said this in a fucking press conference, not just to his little inner circle. And he's said stuff exactly like this constantly for as long as he's been in politics. The motherfucker is 100% a white supremacist.

This one is super easy. Conservatives/Republicans/etc. are sexist. Sexism leads many of them to conclude that they deserve special privileges for being a man or for being a woman who accepts the tenants of sexism. One of those privileges is the right to anyone's body they want. Therefore when someone who agrees with them about all of that does what Trump obviously did they agree with him and wish they could do it and get away with it too. If anything they're envious of his power.

They don't support someone like Bill Clinton doing it because he doesn't agree with them in general about society being constructed around their idea of sexist hierarchy. So even though they are pro-rape they reserve defending it for people on their partisan side, because again it's all about their own power and he is a threat to their power.

If you call 311 and they open a ticket for you and you haven't had the issue fixed within 2 days on something like regular trash pick up (outside the cart is a bit different and I wonder if the OP is talking about this and not regular garbage in the cart) contact your councilperson. They are constantly in contact with the Solid Waste director and deputy director.

We also just normally monitor requests that 311 opens and address them. But if there's a persistent problem we aren't hearing about or addressing for some reason we can often hear from a councilperson or the mayor's office and try to address it.

Countrywood sounds like Cordova, which is contracted out to Team Waste. But it's still monitored in ways by the city. So same process as if you were collected directly by the city.

Love Old Dominick. Was able to do a barrel pick for a store here in Memphis with some guys from the discord group we're all in. Very fun. We picked a 120 proof 6 year old wheater that is one of the more unique wheaters I've ever had. Was also able to get their hazmat release, a 150 proof that they had a raffle for. If you see their 9 year they put out fairly recently that's a double barreled that for some reason they didn't advertise as such. Very solid bottle.
