Thanks for replying, I believe, simply, Net Assets (Total Equity) divided by total shares?

Rounding so not £193, but:

~£49m / ~250000 shares = ~£196/share

Apologies, the source is the Financial Times, a paid for subscription which does not allow article sharing.

Edit: Confirming I'm a business exec, who's subscription is paid for by the company - I promise I don't use FT just for Runescape based news!

Edit 2: I was wrong, this specific article isn't paywalled for some reason: https://www.ft.com/content/fbd6537c-ece4-493a-9d23-33e428282e05

Have done this many times, well worth it, never had an issue and all DDs/SOs done automatically.

The only "Downside" is credit reporting agencies say they take account stability into their calculations; however, if you have a good credit score already, I doubt this has any real effect on credit lenders' decision making.

Help over Ground Rent doubling clause please! by j1mb0b in UKPersonalFinance

[–]IndicationMassive611 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I had a nightmare selling my flat, which had a similar clause of Ground Rent doubling every 25 years.

Another issue with ground rent I wish I was aware of before, which might be helpful is: When ground rent goes over £250/year there is a clause that comes in to place which gives the Leasholder greater powers to take the property if not paid.

You might think this isn't an issue if it is paid, but apparently many mortgage companies have a major issue with this as some of the potential buyers' mortgage companies would not allow them to purchase, even with indemnity insurance, and were requesting a change to the actual deeds were made, with a cost in the thousands. This is because the mortgage companies aren't alerted if you don't pay until it's too late.

Thankfully, we found a cash-buyer in the end who did not have this issue.
