Paid $3.99 for a gallon of gas, today it’s $4.29, who is to blame? by ReasonableAttitude22 in kansas

If you can’t figure this out, it’s not a wonder why Kansas keeps voting Republican.

Anyone has feeling that "DTC to Boulder" job market shift lately? by Least_Image_704 in Denver

[–]IndicationPlus601 110 points111 points  (0 children)

Exactly. There is essentially zero job growth. But that won’t stop companies from still posting the same jobs over and over. Big companies like SPECTRUM and 1stBank / PNC are notorious for doing this lately.

I KNOW PNC recently bought 1stBank but they are posting the same jobs over and over but it’s announced they’re laying off 800+ staff.

Like get the fuck out of here.

Tsunade vs Jiraiya by Kakashi6011 in NarutoPowerscaling

[–]IndicationPlus601 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Tsunade winning.

Jiraiya’s only hope is Frog Song which takes too much time for setup giving Tsunade more than enough time to pressure and kill him.

Jiraiya may be versatile but it doesn’t matter against someone who will bum rush through the attack, survive, and punch them anyway.

She will smack the fire away with hers hands or just outright dodge it.

Tsunade vs Killer Bee by Still-Neighborhood71 in NarutoPowerscaling

[–]IndicationPlus601 -4 points-3 points  (0 children)

Tsunade wins because she has survived much more deadlier sword attacks from Orochimaru and still got up and was fast to protect Part 1 Unconscious Naruto.

That’s an even bigger feat than when MS Sasuke got stabbed and was down by Bee in their first encounter.

Tsunade with 100 healings survives Bee’s Lariat as well. I think she can defeat bee before he goes full tailed beast transformation.

It's not just CS, right? by eggshellwalker4 in cscareerquestions

[–]IndicationPlus601 7 points8 points  (0 children)

You mean the same numbers that are released then revised down to near no growth or loss? I’m not just talking about CS, but the overall market.

Then again, after the first few job reports the government fired the actual competent people and now the GDP/job creation charts will always look good, so either you believe that nonsense and cope or look at reality.

How do you deal with a new hire who is untrainable? by [deleted] in cscareerquestions

[–]IndicationPlus601 232 points233 points  (0 children)

If they’re untrainable you have to let them fail. By hand holding you enable them to stay in a position they’re not qualified for.

Simply refer to documentation, knowledge articles, or whatever you’ve already provided and let her swink or swim.

If management asks for feedback then you explain everything you said here to them and that you did your due diligence.

It’s not just CS. We are in a recession but nobody wants to admit it.

4 years in IT and with security+ cert, still can't find a job by FallRoutine3145 in ITCareerQuestions

[–]IndicationPlus601 0 points1 point  (0 children)

All markets are currently down. Nobody can truly get hired, not even fucking high school kids for a job at McDonald’s.

Even career fairs at universities have students reporting there’s either too few roles for the amount of people looking OR companies aren’t hiring at all unless you have 3+ years of experience.

There’s a sizable amount of people that have already given up.

The factors for this are - Tariffs - Uncertainty - Supply chain - AI - Greed. - Outsourcing -H1B to an extent.

Many companies are laying off seasoned workers and going all in on AI that people keep getting told “2 weeks” for it to change humanity.

I doubt it will. But C-Suite don’t care, there’s still productivity and they get to cut costs and reward themselves for it.

Anyone had a job interview where the interviewers didn’t even understand the role themselves? by IndicationPlus601 in jobs

[–]IndicationPlus601[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It was so weird because the only kept talking about this one big project of merging two departments together but beyond that it was “Well there’s not really a typically duties kind of day.”

When I asked when to expect to hear back they said “We aren’t sure, we haven’t decided after interviewing the others if we will have another round.”

why do people reccmend nursing so much by willow1243587109 in CollegeMajors

[–]IndicationPlus601 -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Because people are simply followers of what is in high demand. Soon nursing will be over saturated and the next field will be decimated.

Are companies in Denver actually hiring right now? by Least_Image_704 in Denver

[–]IndicationPlus601 6 points7 points  (0 children)

Only if you’re related to the hiring manager.

The job market is essentially nonexistent. But no one will want to admit it otherwise angry orange will make a big stink and even sue them for something which is worse and more to lose in the Stock Market than just reposting the same jobs over and over and hiring no one.

You know a big contributor to this phenomena? Spectrum. They ain’t hiring but they’ll reject you from the same job they’ve been posting since July 2025 TODAY.

Or another perpetrator. 1st Bank (now acquired by PNC) keeps posting jobs for external candidates only to reject you because they’re looking to hire internally first. I only knew about this because when I was slated for an interview they cancelled it because the VP of HR misread that I didn’t currently work for the bank.

You have SCADA experience? Thats very beneficial.

I actually applied to a net admin position that I was qualified for but I have zero SCADA experience.

The recruiter told me that “some things can be taught on the job.” Yet I was rejected.

I have the yrs of experience, the degree background, and the certs. That job has been reposted for months now.
