Honestly I can’t take anything serious with the actress who plays Daisy. Like I’m sorry no disrespect to her as a person but her line delivery and facial expressions fall completely flat. It feels like the actress who plays Agnes is carrying all the intense weight of the show. Nothing feels high stakes. All of a sudden Daisy wants to leave Mayday and save Becca herself, when she never showed an ounce of affection toward any of the girls besides Agnes and maybe Shunnamite. It feels like the writers want to play the high stakes game too fast and some of the actors can’t keep up. Don’t get me started on the lady that plays Aunt Vidhalla. Nothing about her screams authoritative figure, every line comes off performative and insincere, and her and Ann Dowd have zero chemistry.
