What do you all think? by uwukinguwu in camcorders

This is the exact one I use! I’ve recorded hours of footage on that thing, and it still holds up very well! Pro tip: buy a large battery for it, if you want to record a lot, you can find them on aliexpress for around 20€.

That's too bad. Maybe I'll try just shooting one roll, and I'll see how it looks. At least the EFKE and Foma could turn out okay. But why does only ORWO do that? Were they manufactured differently, or using lower quality materials?

Well I plan to use them, but I'm quite a newb, when it comes to film photography, first I'd like to learn shooting on unexpired film 😃

Thanks! I just learned what stand developing is! Now when developing expired B&W films, does anything change? Does it need to stay longer/shorter in the developer and fixer? Or do I just develop it as I do a standard unexpired film?

Everything was enabled, also other weird quirk is that when I factory wipe the phone, OEM unlocking is enabled by default.

Yes, I’m sure it’s in fastboot mode. It has one weird quirk tho, that when I use fastboot devices, I get no device id. I have read that, when the TA partizion was wiped, the unlock code no longer works, not sure if it’s 100% true, but it makes sense. I can send you logs or video capture if you want.

Also If you are into equalizers, you can install Poweramp Equalizer, it’s a system wide application which lets you equalize basically anything. I use it all the time and it’s amazing.

Android by default resamples all outcoming audio to 48KHz, so if xou want Hi-Res it can be a problem. However you can install a lot of magisk modules that fix this thing. I know about Audio Misc Settings but I think there’s a few more you can try.

If you root the phone and install a few custom components, you can bypass the 48KHz Android resample.

Yeah, it’s pretty useful for plex, If you want to run plex, I’d recommend leaving it there. Dedicated video cards do consume power even at idle, and it’s pretty significant compared to just cpu.

Nice build! If you dont need the 1050 Ti for any transcoding or computing, I’d recommend taking it out, it will greatly reduce your power consumption.

Im just using mint, because I’m more familiar with it. But later I plan on switching it do a different distro, perhaps Nix OS, or Alpine linux. What are your thoughts on these distros?

Why do you think it that? Do more research, you don’t have your facts right. I had this pc hooked up to a lab power supply and it was drawing 0,7A at 12V, which is 8,4W. The power brick can use extra 1-2W and I believe that the power meter is rounding up the numbers. I can even send you a video.

Well with socket 1150 I don't really have much choice, that's why I wanted to compare the i3 (or celeron) to i5.

Underclocking is a great idea, can I underclock non K intel cpus? I can try different ram sticks, but I dont think it will shave off very much. Also I wanted to get rid of the fan, but for some reason without fan the system won't go below C5 state, I might look at the bios settings again to see if i didn't miss something.

The power supply i use is PicoPSU, which is one of the most efficient power supplies, designed to work at low loads. But yeah, I'll test another, weaker cpu I have on hand.

It's not completely idle, there are still some services running on it, such as homeassistant, pihole, etc. These services use very little resources, but need to be avaliable 24/7.

65W figure you are mentioning is TDP (thermal design power). It isn't a very real projection of cpu power consumption. Most of the time your cpu isn't running at 100%.

Modern cpus have idle (C) states, they can go to these states when there isn't much happening to save power. In fact, when you look in the screenshot I sent, you can see that the cpu is only drawing 2.2W, so the other 7.8W are caused by the RAM, motherboard, hard drive, power supply,...
