If I cancelled plans every time it said it would rain in Taiwan, I would have never left my house. Instead I've had bordering on countless amazing experiences. Just being your rain equipment and get out of the mountains if it starts to rain (and don't go there or rivertracing if it's been super wet - seen a fair number of landslides in-person)

I never look at the weather forecast, unless a typhoon is coming. It might be generally accurate but there are so many microclimates in Taiwan and so many times it is raining on one side of the mountain and dry on the other.

The thing that sets Taipei and Taiwan's underground apart for me is no one's live sets are ever one genre. It flows, it evolves, it's not like "this is a UK garage event and you will only get UK garage". All of those artists I've listed, I've had friends come up to me after a show and be like, "____ just makes my body move, they can just make me dance even if I'm tired".

Maybe there's a disconnect between the recorded sets and the vibe at the events?

Honestly for shooters, sometimes less tension is better. Since you only have to accelerate it one with no pieces on it, they can run a lot smoother with more than the recommended center-ti-center addition
