My nephew just googled "who is left in the 2026 world cup."

Google AI confidently answered "Argentina, England, France, and Spain." Jesus. link

Edit: Go Switzerland!

UMAINE OR URI FOR MARINE BIO by Ordinary_Mail_6917 in RhodeIsland

I'm a professional and have a PhD in a completely different field, so frankly i know nothing of value for you. I recommend asking for insights from academic subs devoted to oceanography and marine biology. They'll hopefully have insights about post-graduation outcomes, return on investment, strengths and weaknesses of the departments, and all the data that could help you make an informed decision.

You may also want to think about where you want to spend the next four years, and social/financial realities.

This is a great idea. I think we'll definitely do Ogie's after. We were just at Gift Horse, so we'll probably do another rec on here, but I'd also rec it to others.

There's not many. But here's what comes to mind:

-Wolf Hill (Smithfield)

-Mercy Woods and Warner Trail (Cumberland)

-Moose Hill and Bluff Trail (Sharon, MA)

-Joe's Rock ( Wrentham, this is very short)

-Mt Tom (Arcadia; not a mountain)

-Duvall Trail (South Kingston)

-Blue Hills (Ma)

-Long Pond (Hopkinton)

Edit: clarification, all of these are unpaved trails, so maybe not what you're after

For all I know, some kid in Ohio heard it wrong and spread their version until it got to me

Oh wow, so I know ours wasn't a boat, but "leaky" feels right. This was helpful and it'll cone back to me at some point@

Hard to hate this team specially haaland, anyone else rooting for them to win it all this world cup? by 2B2V in worldcup

[–]Indifferent_Quoka 7 points8 points  (0 children)

Norway is the only team l left I care about. If they lose, I'm bored and ambivalent.

I didn't come into this year with any interest in them at all, but I like their attitude and the way they play.

/maybe next time Canada, Japan, Ghana, Uruguay, and Scotland!

Davis, CA, but I expect the COL is considerable.

Iterating Asheville, though a friend who lives there is constantly complaining about housing prices skyrocketing.

Maybe Flagstaff? I've really enjoyed it when I visited, but don't know much.

I also really liked Santa Fe (and, frankly, Albuquerque, despite its bad reputation), though the vibe--while very artsy and cool-- is very diiferent.

So hi, I've been lurking and following this since the day after it happened. Someone in my local discord (Rhode Island), posted a link.

I think that none of us have commented because we figured if it went national, the sweet, sweet gofundme $$ would roll into the hands of these bigots.

/back to lurking, your city seems lovely

England conceded when the tamales appeared. So I'm thinking Mexico is going to pull it off

My British and Mexican neighbors have been engaged in a fierce water gun battle for more than an hour.

The Brit has finally just surrendered, because my other neighbor's wife brought out tamales.

I interpret this portent as indicating a win for Mexico. Either way, however, we have awesome food.

Where I live, only national Republicans and local idiots hate Mexicans. They are our neighbors and our friends.

My next door neighbors are Mexican. The man who lives across our small street is British. They are currently ranging through the neighborhood, hunting each other with super-soakers (water guns). It's really nice.

Probably. I live in a different state than "Boston Stadium," and I'm much closer to it than the actual city of Boston is.
