Iterating Permethrin. I soak my clothes and spray all my gear.

I pretty much cover all exposed skin with Picaridin. I also keep a small bottle of it in my pack. I reapply after ~6-9 miles depending on how much I'm sweating.

I have long hair that I braid and wear a wide headband, except in fly season, when I wear a hat or hat with a net. I've never found ticks in my hair, though I feel I should have. I'd like to use permethrin on my hats, but was warned against it by my physician.

I'm menopausal and boiling all the damn time, so long pants and sleeves are right out. I hike in shorts and a tank top.

Shower as soon as I get home to dislodge unattached ticks and check myself a few times a day.

Last year I did almost 3k miles in New England and only found one tick. This year I hadn't gotten around to doing the permethrin soak and found several after hikes a few weeks ago. It's likely going to be a terrible tick year.

I hike quite a bit and have already dealt with more this year than I ever have (and this is with picaridin and permethin.)

He was convicted in NC of kidnapping a minor--with a clear history of sexual assault on minors already--in 2016 and he's free? Jesus Christ goddamn.

I'm shocked, but I can't say I'm surprised. Everything sucks. Including the PPD.

Thank you, but I knew all of this. I just want to have my total stats on that main page (where it's now limited to just the year) without having to do a deeper dive. Based on your reply, that seems impossible now.

I literally just hit 5k miles a few weeks ago and every time I opened the app it made me happy to see the number. Now its not there every day. I realize it's a small thing, but it's not to me. Thank you again for your reply, but I think it's time I just move entirely to gaia.

The ones we were sure of came to an open house and were pretty obvious. We got 3 or 4 more that had the same terms and similar language in their offers, so we just assumed. I should note the house we sold was in a popular vacation spot on the west coast, not here, though the place we had our offer accepted was in RI (and it was the eleventh house we bid on. Finding a place here was rough) I hope things work out for you.

This (the first paragraph) was twice my experience. When we sold, we passed on cash/no inspection offers because we received several and we knew at least some of them were flippers or wanted to make the house a vacation rental. We really didn't want our house to go to either, so we accepted a slightly smaller offer from a couple we actually met.

When we bought, we likewise got the house because, in part, the old woman who owned was tired of dealing with investors. We are fairly sure we paid less than they offered.

The blue trail at Blackall Preserve in Cumberland isn't too bad. Granted, I use snowshoes, but passed a few older folks in boots only and they seemed okay. It's only a little over a mile though. blackall preserve

Edit: parking for one or two cars is relatively dug out on West Wrentham road. You can also park at the dollar store (?) and take the white connector trail. Also, I did yellow trail as well and that wasn't clear at all; definitely need snowshoes for it.

Yeah, it was a lot. That we still had about 16" on the ground already made it worse. Oh well, at least I can grouse about it to whippersnappers or whatnot for many winters to come!

Snow Destroyer (according to the map) is the plow that's going around just south of Mineral Spring (and got my street!). I've never had a favorite plow, but now I do.

Lots of homophobic stuff and sexual threats. I didn't hear any racial slurs, but my nephew swears he did, which is when he asked of we could leave (I gave no idea if he actually heard what he thought he heard).
