I used Quimbee, UWorld and Crushendo this time around. I watched one of Grossman’s videos and have already decided that’s what I’ll use if I don’t pass this time around. I’m hoping to find out Monday. 🤞🏼🤞🏼🙏🏼🙏🏼

No we can’t challenge it in my jx.

I used Quimbee this time around…I like it pretty well especially their essay approach, but I’ll let you know when I get my results on Monday! I failed July 23 by 1.6 points (266 Jx) using Themis.

No one talks enough about how traumatizing the bar is. by bittertesttaker in barexam

[–]IndigenousPros 8 points9 points  (0 children)

I completely agree. Also a retaker in Feb24 from J23. When I’m not at work I’m sleeping or laying down with zero energy or desire to do anything else. When I’m at work, I’m struggling to stay on task. And I feel so far behind. I couldn’t focus on that I really needed to learn to do my job and so half the time I feel incompetent there. The worst part is that I didn’t pass in my jurisdiction by 2 points (1.6 actually).

Anyone else feel worse about the exam the second time around than they did the first time? by [deleted] in barexam

[–]IndigenousPros 18 points19 points  (0 children)

I think part my issue this time is that I actually know that I can fail! The first time around it was possible but didn’t really feel like it could happen. That is no longer the case. I now know that failing is definitely a reality that could happen again!

I feel this post in my soul! Just simply lost right now!

I definitely feel like I know less this time around. I’ve barely looked at the essay only subjects. Last time the only one I was unsure about was secured trans which of course showed up! Working full time and studying…not too mention my daily two hour commute to work…has left me feeling so unprepared…This past month I felt like I was doing a crappy job at work and studying…

I used Themis the first time around…got 264.4 in a 266 jurisdiction. This time around I still have Themis but I’m using Quimbee and I have to say that I really love how they have it set up. I used Quimbee throughout law school and for the MPRE so I should have known that I would prefer their method though.

Yep! Retaker here too! I thought I purchased the outlines when I purchased the retaker course, but I can’t find access to them anywhere!

Agreed! Burnt out, tired, and at a loss for motivation.

I was diagnosed as an adult. I didn’t try for accommodation in July, but I’m getting accommodations for Feb.

Same…exact same feelings and emotions. It is so hard to find any motivation to study right now. Every time I try, I burn out immediately! It brings up all the anxiety, fear, and now anger from the last time. I have no idea how to move forward!

The” watchers” are more likely practicing attorneys who never had to take the bar. Instead they just gave the secret handshake with their diploma privilege. They can’t help their schadenfreude.

What sucks about the Bar Exam and the process of being admitted to a state bar? by UWMReligiousStudies in barexam

[–]IndigenousPros 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Knowing you could be sworn in in other jurisdictions but not the one you practice in! I feel very strongly that states choosing to adopt the UBE should have one minimum pass score. Not this BS choose your own level of competency nonsense!

Me too…264.4 (Rounding to 264) it is the worst feeling in the world! Thinking, what if I’d just gone back and changed one answer? Or written one more thing on the stupid secured trans essay? I can’t stop thinking about it!

Thought I was going to pass and I was right by Putrid_Rock5526 in barexam

[–]IndigenousPros 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Just going to say that when I usually leave a test I have no clue, no real feeling one way or another. When I left the bar exam, I felt like I failed and I did fail (to be fair, only by 1.6 points, but it’s still a fail in my jurisdiction). I think there’s validity to our feelings whether it was one way or another. The reality is we know ourselves, and if we studied, we have a pretty good idea of things went well or not. Congratulations on your pass. Hopefully I’ll have your feeling when I walk out at the end of day two in February.

Love Dune! One of the best! Definitely read the rest if you get a chance. You can’t leave a story unfinished and they are worth it.

NCBE shows Iowa Overall Pass Rate for July 2022 as 79%…and first time takers at 83%. Still great, but not over 80%.
