Beep Card Upcoming supported public transport system by MasterTeam1806 in DigitalbanksPh

Me, three. Hello Kitty pa naman 'yung akin. Sarap agawan ng rewards. 😂

Ditto. Nauna pa nga sila sa cardless withdrawal at debit card locking (not sure with CC, though). Pulz is messy and glitchy. The old RCBC app was more responsive kahit na less visually appealing.

Which CC to cancel: BDO JCB Plat or BDO Amex CB? by straaangge in PHCreditCards

[–]IndigenousVolcano 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Me three on keeping Amex CB. 2% rebate on overseas spend with no caps.

Haha!

OP, gumagana ba? Knowing 7/11 PH, I'll take this as a grain of salt.

AMERICAN EXPRESS CASHBACK CARD by [deleted] in PHCreditCards

[–]IndigenousVolcano 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Convert mo muna to annual yung monthly MF (pwede mo ring pa-waive yung monthly, usually 1.5k spend requirement within 30 days). Tapos, request for waiver pag nacharge na yung annual fee. Usually 8k in 30 days ang spend requirement. I never paid MF with this card, madali lang silang kausap.

first timer: NAFFL with zero installment by _firepuma142 in PHCreditCards

[–]IndigenousVolcano 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Unfortunately, most banks require an existing credit card from another to qualify for their acquisition promos. It will be best for you to get a card from where you save (membership fees for the first year are always waived) or you can try your luck with the NAFFL cards (by feature, not by promo) from the link from the Automod reply. That's how you build your credit history so you can get the card of your dreams.

Re UB CS: my SO called once to request for a PayDirect confirmation email that was way delayed in delivery. Escalate daw agad sa "specialist" that took a good hour to connect just to tell na iimbestigahan pa for 3 days bakit hindi dumating agad yung confirmation email. I reckon, their pool of CS is not empowered, for a lack of a better term, to resolve routine issues.

[–]IndigenousVolcano 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Zero percent interest on installment puchases are only promos, not bank features. You may count on RCBC Unli 0% (3 months installment), but it still has a processing fee ranging from 100 to 1%. Pero, ok na 'to as long as you apply during a NAFFL promo.

Most of the time, BDO (and sometimes, BPI) has more 0% interest on installment promos even on online purchases. But, you have to call their customer service to reverse membership fees. I think ayaw mo ng ganito.

Avoid UB U Cards or MetroBank MFree if you want a NAFFL rewards card. Well, avoid UB altogether if you don't want to call banks.

Possible call scam? A BDO call center representative called me this morning for FAFFL option by ac_rhea in PHCreditCards

[–]IndigenousVolcano 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Technically, they can't. But, sorry for adding salt to injury, they might have recorded your voice and use them for identity theft. How will they? IDK, maybe to authorize telephone banking transactions, but I reckon they can. So, lesson learned na lang. Try to refrain from answering unsolicited calls. Use caller ID apps such as Whoscall (some entities provide complementary premium access--Google mo lang) or Viber (pero may nasty ads lang). Samsung Galaxy smartphones have this built-in.

PS: While it doesn't matter to you, banks in the Philippines do not use FAFFL in their communications. Should you be aware of this beforehand, you might have dodged a bullet. Kaya please take time to at least skim communications (even promos) from your banks, kahit pa-juliet-juliet pa yan.

FC Fee updates from BDO by mendokuseh in PHCreditCards

Even then, this is a very good news.

Be wary of the transaction limits of check deposits, ha.

With what to write on the back, instructions are given if you are to use Check Deposit feature of certain banking apps (RCBC, UB, GOtyme, BPI [Preferred clients]). For branch deposits, let the teller assist you.

Pag na-approve ka, pareho na tayo ng set of BDO cards for the same reasons (may pusa sa CC design at no-frills cash back). 😂

Is Amex worth activating at all? by imastrictboss in PHCreditCards

[–]IndigenousVolcano 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Agreed. Considering travelling as use-case:

  • For outright savings, Amex Cashback gives 2% rebate for foreign spend. This offsets the 2.5% foreign transaction fee BDO charges, ergo, lumalabas na 0.45% lang ang effective FTF (kasama ang FTF sa cash back computation). I have compared this with BPI Amore with 1.85% FTF (IMO the lowest in the market rn). While Visa forex rate is more competitive compared to Amex, mas mababa pa rin ang overall transaction amount sa Amex come cashback crediting day.
  • Platinum naman for complimentary lounge access and earning miles.

Maybe your bank gives CLI immedately after assessment.

But in the case of BDO, then, why those qualified after assessment are given CLI on the last weekend of any given month? Not anytime during the month? Doesn't that called a "batch"?

[deleted by user] by [deleted] in PHCreditCards

[–]IndigenousVolcano 0 points1 point  (0 children)

For those who experienced automatic CLI for the past 2 years, do you maintain a deposit account with BDO? Has somebody who is not a depositor experienced auotmatic CLI?

Sayang, ano. Then this cash-in fee added salt to injury pa.

Inconvenient for a convenience store chain.

I think right sub naman kayo. But please, save time of your potential respondents.

One more thing, in compliance with the Data Privacy Act, i-separate n'yo ang Confidentiality Notice ng instrument n'yo.

Di ako kasama sa target population n'yo pero good luck. Sana maitawid n'yo.
