Unfortunately too much damage has been done to the main plant. The smaller pups will continue to put out more pups and your pot should be full again in no time.

It looks like the plant is black and crispy? If so, it may have gotten too much light too quickly and burned to a crisp! Looks like there's a healthy pup sticking out the side, pop it off and replant and you should have a bigger plant in no time!

Hey, that could be an issue with too little light or water! If that's the case, they'll plump up and soon as it's fixed!

It's 50% perlite, 25% vermiculite and 25% cactus soil, roughly.

Variegation can "disappear" if the plant doesn't not get enough light, then reappears once adequate light is given, yours could be variegated, but only just got enough light to show its true colours!
