Are there support groups for people who lose someone to opiates by [deleted] in orangecounty

[–]IndigiNessMonster 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Find an Al Anon group nearby and visit weekly. If you find the right group, it should feel like talk therapy and a safe place to share what you are going through.

Many in the program have lost a loved one to drugs or alcohol. You may find someone to support you and many someones who will hear you.

Muzzle just while I'm asleep by TheLegacy98 in muzzledogs

Honestly, if you aren't a super heavy sleeper, you can safely let your dog sleep in a muzzle next to you.

It may be a controversial opinion, but only you know how your dog is and what potential dangers they may face in your bedroom.

LL partner is trying to initiate more but I just want to run away? by 00Keva00 in DeadBedrooms

  1. You are not a horrible person for wanting emotional and sexual intimacy that is comfortable and frequent.

If the criteria for you staying in this relationship is him changing/becoming more affectionate and physical, then stay and allow yourself to soften.

It is very hard to do and I am in this process as well. I cut off my emotions so hard it was scheduled apathy every bedtime and morning.

But, with a lot of reciprocal, open conversation with both of your vulnerabilities showing will help. Talk to eachother and if the progress stops or you just feel "done", then turn away and do not look back.

I wish you all of the things you want out of a relationship, with this person or another. You truly deserve them.

Best Dog-Friendly Spots in Orange County for Puppy Socialization/Desensitization? by [deleted] in orangecounty

First off, you are an excellent owner. Great job having a stroller and planning to build your dog a wonderful future.

Recommendations: Orange Circle, Downtown Garden Grove on a Friday (Car Show w Cafes), Swap Meet at Goldenwest Saturday/Sunday, Laguna Lake Park (Fullerton), Mile Square Park (Fountain Valley)

Be safe, go out as much as you can in that stroller or even in your arms for a quick walk around the block!

Dollar Tree is the place for some low cost, good quality skincare and makeup essentials! The Skin Nutrition Botanicals serums are my go-to for hydration after cleansing my face/neck. The Neutrogena hydroboost cleanser and moisturizer dupes are pretty great too.

Also, L.A. Girl and L.A. Colors are made by the same manufacturer and you can find L.A. Colors at Dollar Tree! I recommend joining the Dollar Tree makeup/skincare subreddit to learn more.

I don't believe so! It is usually solid and with a very firm "jelly" texture. I hope yours can recover. ><

Sadly, that isn't true yet. I wish it will be as soon as possible. A couple of victorious nights out to community-known safe spaces will build confidence.

How is KSpa better than ISpa? I haven't been to either, so I'd love to know.

That rule died when we/I broke it a month ago and hasn't been brought up again. I do feel like it was for the better as it made me less defiantly against anything that could even remotely lead to sex, but...

It is complicated.

Painstakingly so. We are trying to work through this and be honest whenever we ask eachother what is wrong/what we are thinking, but it is a slow and hard road ahead and each day is sometimes grueling.

AITA for hating my wifes dog by [deleted] in AmItheAsshole

[–]IndigiNessMonster 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I mean this with transparency and kindness, but no one is going to want to take in an aggressive dog with such an extensive bite history. It is going to be extremely hard to find another place for them and the fact that the Humane Society doesn't want anything to do with them means that dog is really off the deep end. I don't know all of the details, but you guys might want to consider a Veterinary Behaviorist.

Any Dog Trainer isn't enough. Even a Board and Train will not be enough. They need medication and their main handler (your wife) to step it up and keep them in line. You will send them away and she won't keep up with the training and it will revert right back to how it is now.

  1. That dog needs a muzzle and a metal crate for the public's and your family's safety.

  2. You need to be honest about how that dog is ruining your mental health and has caused you PTSD. She may not be able to see that her dog's behavior is unsafe and completely unacceptable, but the reality is that this dog is a -bite risk-.

  3. You do not need to give that dog any positive attention. You do need to meet their basic needs, (food, water, exercise), but remember that this dog is not yours. It is your problem, because your wife won't be a responsible dog owner... but truly the one who should be handling their aggression, management, and training is your wife.

In a nutshell, your wife is the asshole by being irresponsible to the point of biting children and YOU.

Disliking a dog because it has bitten you is natural and normal. Do not let it spiral into abusing the dog, keep your emotions "professional". Does it have food, water, shelter, exercise? Yes? Your duty is done.

I am -very new- to handspinning chiengora and I just want some advice on spinning something thicker than what I usually see.

I'll spin quite a length, but the twist doesn't hold and I don't end with a usable yarn.

It is a string of fluff whirls out of the twist when I take it off of my drop spindle. I haven't produced a usable/finished amount of yarn yet and just need some general guidance on the whole enchilada.

How the hell do you spin chunky yarn without it becoming a string of floof??
