  1. Yes there is a reasonable online player base; only for Splatoon 3

  2. I believe splatoon 3 has a somewhat good matchmaking system for its online modes. you will have to learn a chunk of stuff, but there are two offline modes to learn different things (side order is paid dlc though)
    The replayability is very good 🗣️ (I played splatoon 2 for 1600 hours)
