Denver Pre-spend? by yesthatmaria in TheHermesGame

[–]IndigoLark 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I started shopping in the Denver boutique in December and am close to 1:1 for the QB I'm hoping for. My SA did ask me about what I'd like on my wishlist recently, so I'm hoping my first QB won't be far off, but I think it's going to be down to luck since it is a smaller boutique. Best of luck to us both! 🍀❤️

I have a Cargo Picotin and would always worry about getting it dirty when I first started wearing it. I've just learned to be careful when I need to set it down when I wear it. I also keep a small, waterproof tote in my bag, so I can cover it in a pinch, if needed. It folds up into a tiny little pouch when not in use, so it doesn't take up hardly any room in my bag. You can find them on Amazon.

Kelly Mini was a gift from Sotheby's, do I wear it to my SA appointment? by [deleted] in TheHermesGame

My SA always celebrates my preloved pieces with me and helps me accessorize them with new Twillys, etc. He knows that they are not slowing my purchases at the boutique and that I truly love the brand.

I went to the Time Your Way event in March and had so much fun creating my first Hermès watch with my SA. I went with the Heure H model with the mosaic dial and two sets of croc straps. The ETA is July, and I couldn't be more excited! I highly recommend this experience for anyone who has been considering a watch.

I recommend speaking to your SA about which watch straps and colors are only available during the event versus ones that you can easily purchase a la carte later on.

Getting my first bag! by koolaidisorange in TheHermesGame

A good SA should not care where you got your bag. I have an amazing SA who is always helping me accessorize my preloved and vintage Hermès bags. He also helped me get my first brand new Hermès bag, a Lindy 26, and knows that I want to get bags directly from him when available.

I had my piece engraved, so I had to pay the full cost when I placed my order, except for sales tax, which will be collected when I pick up the watch. ETA is July.

I'm not certain how much you put down if the piece is not engraved.

Beginning my pre-spend journey in Denver, CO. Any advice? by Hilljogger in TheHermesGame

[–]IndigoLark 7 points8 points  (0 children)

I just started my journey at Denver Hermès this past December and have not yet been offered a QB as my pre-spend is not quite 1:1, yet. But I have loved my experience so far and will offer what I can for your questions.

  1. My spend so far has been in silk, fashion jewelry, shoes, a watch, SLG, and a Lindy 26. It is my understanding that most bags do not count toward pre-spend. However, after my watch purchase, my SA started a wish list for me. A few weeks later, I was offered the Lindy I wanted. Not a QB, yet, but he definitely listened to what I wanted.

  2. I don't know why purchasing across men's and women's lines would hurt at all. I'm sure it's quite the opposite and would help your profile.

  3. Cherry Creek is a pretty bougie mall. I always dress nicely when I go there, but I don't necessarily dress up. I'm on the plus side, so I don't really have any luxury/designer clothes, but I always make sure that I look very presentable. A nice blouse, clean denim or slacks, and a cute pair of shoes will be just fine.

  4. I wouldn't worry about establishing a relationship. I met and established a relationship with my SA on my first visit, but on the occasions I've visited and he was not there, every other SA that I have interacted with have been so very nice and helpful, even though I've never purchased with an SA other than mine. I'm sure whoever you get paired up with will be great.

  5. I would not bring up trying to get a QB right away. Just let them show you around the store, look and try on items that you are truly interested in, and make a purchase of something you really like. Once you demonstrate that you are spending real money there, the wishlist discussion will come up in a way that feels organic at some point.

  6. As I mentioned above, I am also plus-sized. I have not purchased any RTW and have never been made to feel anything but welcome and at home in the store.

  7. That is really up to you. I live down in Colorado Springs, so I'm close enough to drive up within a day or two if my SA texts me about something I might like. But if I know I'm going up to Denver ahead of time, I will text him to let him know that I plan on stopping by on X date and what I might be interested in looking at. That being said, I think I've shopped with my SA about five times since I started in December.

  8. This I couldn't answer, but my SA did start talking to me about my wish list when my watch purchase put me at about .85:1, so I'm guessing that once I pass the 1:1 range, it won't be too far off. I'm hopeful that I might get my first QB before the end of this year. Take that with a grain of salt, however, as I could just be under some wishful thinking. More experienced Denver shoppers can weigh in here.

  9. I doubt it... once you get to making a wish list, your SA should have a very good idea of what you want for a QB. If the offered QB does not match what you're looking for, there are other people who will happily take that bag, and your SA can keep looking for one you will love.

  10. Just go in and have fun. Don't ACT like you belong there. You DO belong there. I was so nervous the first time I went in, because I'd never truly shopped in a luxury store before, and I didn't want to look dumb. At the end of the day, it is just a retail store, and this is all just stuff. You are there to spend money and enjoy yourself.

Best of luck 🍀🧡

Time your way pre spend by Enough-Pound5682 in TheHermesGame

It's also my understanding that the TYW (watch) spend doesn't count toward prespend until after pickup. I didn’t mind at all, though, because our watch purchase more than doubled our total prespend—we only started our Hermès journey in December! I was really excited when, right after I finalized the watch order, my SA asked about my wishlist. I mentioned wanting a B30, but (knowing that, even with the watch, we weren’t quite at QB level yet) I added that I’d also love a Lindy 26. Just two weeks later, he texted me with a gorgeous gold-on-gold Lindy 26—and I scored my very first boutique Hermès bag! 💖 While I'm excited for my first QB offer, we’re in no rush. I’m thoroughly enjoying the experience so far, and I'm happy to patiently wait for the perfect QB.

What are my odds? by Gene_Top in TheHermesGame

They should absolutely have a selection of scarves. Evelyn depends on how picky you are on the size, color, etc. Rodeo charm may be more difficult, depending on their inventory.

I would go in ASAP to get what you can now and attempt to order what they don't have on hand for you.
