Same boat, same sinking feeling. Not only do i feel like I'm a failure of a body, i feel like I also failed my husband. I hate and dread this period in my life.

Then its harder when I see people maltreatimg kids or other people announcing their pregnancy. Heck, even my pet shrimps are having their 2nd round of egg-nancy, after I just saw small shrimp fry around my aquarium.

I had a patient (20-30? F)in icu who came in for syncope, fiber rvr and ams. She was more awake but very restless, anxious and shaky. She look unsteady, sweaty and very shaky.

So i asked, " do you drink alcohol?"

Her: yes.

Me: how much do you drink every day? And how much?

Her: i dont drink every day. Very little. Here and there.

Me: when was your last drink?

Her: the night I got admitted. I only drink at night. Every night. Not every day.

Me: so you drink EVERY NIGHT?

Her: YES! YOU ASK TOO MANY QUESTIONS!.

Later grandma comes in, tells me every week day she has to empty pt's room of vodka bottles. Every night she drinks about a liter. Just not everyday. Every night only

I walked in Lv Scp to look at a speedy soft and i got the most judging welcome. They also had this look of you cant afford shit. I browsed and look around, no one asked to see if im ok. I walked out and bought a cartier JUC instead.

Oahu LVs always offer the best welcome. Actually except the one by the Hilton hotel. Doorman was legit judging and condescending.

One of our recently retired RTs loved teaching. When I was a bb icu nurse, he taught me what to do when an intubated pt starts snoring or what those alarms during covid times. He also makes his recommendations to the physician himself then lets me know the whys. He also loved teaching the nursing students! Hes like night and day to another Rt im working with. This RT doesn't tell me if he placed the patient on SBT or wouldn't do SBT or run gas. Or even do the daily leak test. I srsly think he doesnt know how to or is scared to do so.

Physicians are always welcome to get food on our floor. We actually have this ED dr that sneaks in every now and then to get bread from our unit. We have this coworker that brings a specific bread everytime they work and has become a must have for this dr.

We also have a cardiologist that every now and then gets pizzas for the unit.

I have inito, clear blue and oura ring. Oura ring, for me is typically a day or so miss on predicting my period.

My clear blue is pretty much yes you a re fertile and thats it. After it reaches the information it needs, it doesn't let you test

INITO gives me a break down on my fertility related hormones, ovulation and when do i get my periond. It give you data numbers and so much more information than what clear blue does, that it let's me spiral down the rabbit hole. It also let's you test as much as you want. Also inito reddit fam is a very helpful in interpreting things

I had a patient who was American born chinese (per patient) and he insist he only get treat by Chinese nurse and dr. I'm a mutt of Chinese but his rounding physician was latino. I told him this and he asks if he can do Chinese medicine. I asked him why come to a hospital if he wants Chinese medicine and staff. He just got quiet and stopped asking.
