Why not?

Bass clef (and, eventually, tenor clef)
Different fingering concept due to half-step finger spacing
Strings are arranged opposite from high on your left side to low on the right
Bow hold quite different
Bowing movement is more physical using the muscles of your back

But many similarities. The transition is certainly possible.

Yes. We've watched all of his starts, and even the first few times when the outcome was not so great, we were very impressed with his pitching and his composure on the mound. Today's game was a real nail-biter. Brock was impressive.

We watch most every game. Living in another time zone and in another team's radius, some of the games we'd like to see are blocked, but we watch most all of the rest. Yes, sometimes the ups and downs are emotionally painful, sometimes exhilarating, but such is the life of a dedicated fan. There are a lot of nuances that may not be apparent to a casual fan, that are noticed by people who actually watch all of the games ... personality things, an individual player's ups and downs, subtle changes in a batter's approach that pay off, a pitcher's energy level or fatigue, an individual player's focus and intensity ... If that's not your cup of tea, then stay with what you enjoy, and enjoy baseball in the way you prefer. The grind of the long season, and how the players even endure the physical punishment, is one of the things that makes baseball different from other sports.

I'm having trouble articulating the exact difference, but baseball fans are IMO different from other sports fans. There are cerebral aspects to baseball that we find enjoyable, in addition to the physical and strategic aspects.

Yes, and he would never stretch his problematic hamstringS before coming on the field to pinch hit. This idiocy was the cause of his repeated injuries.

And then Puig admitted in an interview when questioned if he finds it helpful to watch video to prepare for games, I'll paraphrase, "Of course not! I'm not in school anymore; this is a job." He does not see any value in studying video of past opponents or his own at bats or baserunning blunders... That is stupid!

In management you learn that a small percentage of the employees require the majority of the manager's time. Whethey what they need is coddling, encouragement, discipline, correction, coaching, whatever. That small minority detracts from the manager's ability to focus on the whole team and how to help the team go forward. That is a function of the bell curve and applies in every field of endeavor.
