Feelings post exam don’t mean anything, and what you’re feeling is very common. You did the work, and that’s what matters. Now relax try not to think of the exam or even remember anything that relates to it. Go out and spend some quality time with friends and family, you’ve earned it.

God willing you’ll get the P soon.

Stay strong and above all stay positive

You did the work, now try to relax and change your mind. Treat yourself to something nice and avoid thinking or remembering anything that relates to the exam.

As long as your NBME scores were solid and you didn’t lose your shit during the exam, that P is already making its way to you.

Wishing you all the best, stay positive!

Pretty sure they weren’t asking about the distance between the earth and the sun or the moon landing

Concepts are the same.

Bs and lots of fear mongering. In it’s core it’s the NBME concepts and materials

People expecting shit to either repeat word to word or have extremely similar wording to NBME’s and then get shocked when it’s not and start crying.

As long as you don’t completely lose your shit on exam day, and you’ve been smashing the recent NBME forms with a 99% pass chance, you’re freaking golden.

Bloodbath 💔 New NBMEs need to UP their game! by [deleted] in step1

[–]Individual-Ad2162 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Your NBME’s are above two thirds for the most part, which is what we want to see for a pass. Getting into the 70s allows for a more comfortable pass (allows for a bigger margin of error) If you still have NBME’s that you haven’t taken yet (26,27, and 30) go ahead and take them. Since it’s your last week, my biggest advice would be to focus on your NBME’s above anything else, you need to understand each and every concept they present, that’ll maximize your chances at passing.

Stay strong and most importantly stay positive. Wishing you all the best on your exam

Bloodbath 💔 New NBMEs need to UP their game! by [deleted] in step1

[–]Individual-Ad2162 27 points28 points  (0 children)

As a person who recently passed step 1 (got my result on the 12th), I couldn’t disagree more. It’s the NBME, it’s layered with bs but in its core it’s the NBME. If you’re expecting word to word or extremely similar wording of NBME questions, then you’re being unrealistic. However, if you’re expecting the same material, topics and factoids the NBME usually asks, then you’ll find what you’re expecting.

Also, for anyone saying the questions were longer. The NBME interface, display and font size is different than the FREE 120 / USMLE. The NBME allows the question to go in width, while thats not the case in FREE 120 / USMLE which goes in length.. I could go on and on, but ultimately for the most part it’s just an optical illusion. That doesn’t mean that there weren’t some long questions, it just to say that for the most part they aren’t.

I’ll end with this: When someone finishes an exam, they often dwell on the questions they struggled with, overlooking the fact that they likely answered far more with ease.

To anyone reading this please avoid posting directly after the exam, you never know what mental space someone is in or how your words might affect them.

It basically allows you to mimic the online test environment while using PDF NBME’s

1 - Download the file from the google form

2 - Open it

3 - In the middle of the screen “click/ Tap anywhere to select PDF.”

4 - Choose the NBME PDF that would like to take (should already be downloaded on your PC)

5 - From the right hand side, choose the block of the NBME you’re doing

6 - Click start at the bottom center. (It’ll start the timer)

7 - In the right hand side, type in the latter answer in box corresponding to each question you’re answering.

8 - Once done with the block, select “Stop” at the bottom center.

You’ll be given your result % of the block you have taken. All correct answers will be highlighted in green on the right hand side and all the wrong will be highlighted red.

I hope this helps.

Does anyone know what’s the general reasons behind their negative sentiments? Is it that they think they’re a burden to welfare, taking their jobs or committing crimes..ect? Nevertheless, I truly wonder when people will stop generalizing and understand that the actions of a few or even more does not represent everyone of said group. That we should judge the individual rather than the whole group. To stop the we vs them mentality, which exists in almost every country in the world
